Guest
Such a joke. He wasn't attacking the NHL or anything saying anything that should warrant a fine. This game management and suspensions are out of control.
Henrik Kesler
Good for him. The NHL is an absolute joke. Reffing consistency? None that we've noticed...and supplemental discipline is a big LOL.
Neversummer
So NHL gets to help LA and now line their pockets with $100,000 so that Shanahan and his boyfriends can party in Las Vegas for a weekend with that cash? The dept of player safety has gotten to be nothing but a joke!
Apples
A clean hit and now this
The Brahma Bull
Because the Canucks want to clean up their reputation, not add to it. Do you really think these complaints have any effect on the NHL? The Canucks have tried complaining in the past and it gets them nowhere. The lesson to be learned is to keep your mouth shut, unless you wanna have a 2:1 powerplay ratio every playoffs. ccc44
The people running the NHL have turned this into a bush league ,Bettman needs to take a look at what MLB does and has there umps have accountability when there doing a poor job instead ignoring it and fining people who are calling out the complete inconsistency they run the NHL with
-Vintage Canuck-
There were about 415 words in Sharks statement on Torres: $100K fine works out to about $241 a word.

DeNiro
The only lesson learned is that you're going to need many teams voicing their opinion at the same time.
hockeyville88
Concuss someone - no problem Say something about the suits of the NHL - $100K fine How pathetic is that eh?

Lockhart
Raffi gets punished because he's a good hitter. Even the Hossa hit wasn't more than a 2 minute penalty. This recent hit was perfectly legal.
Armada
I'm on SJ's side here. Once again the league shows it uses the famous "Wheel of forture suspension" to randomly decide what suspension a player receives.
thema
yes I wonder why MG especially doesn't speak out about injustice, Wilson did, Ovie did, MG did not a Team fine of $100,000 is nothing
TyTy
Did they roll dice to decide $100k jeez! I don't like the shards
TyTy
The Torres hit was clean. The GM had every right to voice his opinion. I'm sympathetic towards him in this situation. Doug Wilson has always seemed very level-headed. The Bruins, meanwhile, are one of the most arrogant organizations in the business, yet they can say whatever they want: This is the league's double-standard. There are some major politics happening behind the scenes.

Baslund
Where is the freedom off speech? He didn't hurt someone with his comments! The NHL looks like 1960-1970 eastern europe...
