I thought he was better than that. He's clearly been possessed by those goons.
theminister
The thing I can't get my head around is that all that was just from ONE game. Surely not? No wonder Lucic was so upset, he was about the only Bruin who could stand up on skates by the looks of it. Yup. Games 3 and 4 were even worse. Primal Optimist
Prospects Report: As the Memorial Cup Tournament Looms, The Rangers find themselves very proud of their Prospects! Congrats to all three Memorial Cup teams: London Knights - Guelph Storm - Edmonton Oil Kings Nick Ebert is the Front and Center D-Man in the Rangers Prospect Pool, and he will be attending the Memorial Cup as his Guelph Storm attempt to come away with the Hardware! Nick played 65 regular season games scoring 13 goals and 40 assists with a whopping +53plusminus. 0.82 points per game from the blueline makes Nick our King of the Rink. But wait, that is not all! In 20 playoff games en route to the Memorial Cup Nick Ebert put up another 5 goals and 11 assists and is +13plusminus with just 8 penalty minutes. Constant refinement of his role has led Nick to lead the Storms blueline on the attack, which is just what we look for here at Madison Square Garden. Congrats Nick. Also of noteworthy praise is Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, who fell one win short of their own Memorial Cup entry when they lost the QMJHL finals in game 7 on Tuesday. Gabby put up 35 points in the season and was plus 8 while adding 7 more points and going +3 in the playoffs. Zach Stepan attended Minnesota State University this season racking up 9goals, 12 assists and 39 plm's in 35 games while his Mavericks team coasted to the 2014 WCHA Final Five Championship!! Grats Zach Mikko Vainonen had a great year with my second favorite OHL team, the Kingston Frontenacs, playing in the OHL playoffs and appearing at the World Junior Hockey Championships with team Finland. 18 points, 73 penalty minutes and plus7 in the season, Mikko took his game to new heights scoring 1 goal and 3 assists in the 7 playoff games the Frontenacs played. With two North American seasons under his belt now, and a call up to the AHL's Milwaulkie Admirals, Mikko is well on his way to the GML, and is proving to be a pressure performer. Joonas Korpisalo spent the year in Finland, playing for six different teams and doing spot duty on Finlands Under20 international team. in 8 games with Ilves of the Finnish Liiga Joonas posted 1.42gss and a .957 save%age. We are hoping he takes a North American tour in the next couple years to round out his skills before coming of age for the GML. We would like to thank all our unsigned prospects for representing the Rangers so well in their endeavours, and we look forward to seeing them in camp this coming fall! y0shi
Tampa only has 2 participants in the Memorial Cup, but they will without a doubt, be key contributors to their respective teams. Two players, two captains. Chris Tierney will be participating in his third straight Memorial Cup as a London Knight. This year's will be special, as it is his first as captain. Matt Finn will get his crack captaining the Guelph Storm to a Memorial Cup championship after leading his team to the OHL crown. Should be a good one! arby18_
Rumour: A few weeks ago, there were rumblings out of Montreal that the Habs were dangling the 8th-overall selection for some defensive help. But with the news of Brent Burns returning to the blue-line, things have changed, and now it sounds like the Habs may be dangling the pick for a top-6 forward... Caboose
The Ducks getting knocked out essentially spells the end of the Minnesota Misconducts' playoff run. We'll be back with a vengeance next year. Also, very happy to bring Andrew Shaw back on board for another 3 years, he is a key contributor.
canuck2xtreme
Congrats on an absolutely spectacular career Teemu Selanne! Proud you retired a Jet (CDCGML Jet anyways). I feel privileged to have watched him play throughout his career. If every other player were half as classy as Teemu, an awful lot of the NHLs big issues would not exist.
