Edlerberry
No businessman looking to buy an NHL franchise would choose one with that much debt - espescially with future income already promised to pay off previous debt. Its a cashflow nightmare and the only way out is bankrupcy. Of course buttman will force the other teams (and by extension those idiot, moronic fans) to pay for NJD's fiscal mistakes before the team ends up declaring bankrupcy or enough of the debt is paid off that someone finally buys it. Absent Canuck
The Devils are hundreds of millions of dollars in debt. The NHL doesnt need a footprint there like they do in Arizona. They wont carry them . They will relocate the team. I have no idea how anyone buys a team 200million in debt.
morrissex95
I think the Devils are in a worse financial situation than the Coyotes.

The Lock
What about Trenton for a possible location? Sure, they're across the river from Phnilly, but wouldn't that allow access to more potential fans and possibly even alter the fanbase of the team to make it more evenly distributed? If the 76ers ownership is looking to buy it it might also make more sense for them. Alternatively, perhaps somewhere between Newark and Trenton? It really sounds like the team needs a move inside of state.
