I gave that up several years ago. Its not even about Luongo. Its about those who staked their 'internet egos' on Luongo and now have to defend him no matter what.

Luongo is falling victim to what every players falls victim to. He is getting older. He is slightly worse than last year when he was slightly worse than the year before etc.............

I actually think Lou's game has improved and I wanted us to keep Schnieds.

He's not letting in really bad goals very often (can only think of one bad one the goal the other night between the legs - vs Chicago)

He's controlling his rebounds really well (an area of concern in the past)

Not having to make many desperation saves (means he's in better position)

The only weakness he hasn't improved is post to post from right to left (faceplants)

Other than that I actually see improvement, our problems are yet again not Lou. Does he need to start bailing us out a bit ya, but the SOURCE of our problems are not Lou, can he be a partial solution yes but it will simply hide the real issues...much as it has in the past..

You think SESTITO has been the most underrated? Sure, he's played well the last couple games...he's played his role. It's not like he's out there potting goals and overperforming.

Never said he was overperforming, but IMO he hasn't got enough credit for how well he's done.

Huge improvement on last season.

No, it's about the Luongo haters who staked THEIR "internet egos" on Schneider and were so sure he was going to replace Luongo and become the new starter that now have to jump all over any chance to rip on Luongo because they were wrong about Schneider

Just some stats from today's game:

Booth's conditioning stint must have worked, he's scoring at a 20-30 goal pace again since coming back from it.

Edler has the 2nd worst +/- in the league at -14, the only player at -15 is Yakupov. Unbelievable considering the next worse on our team is -7 for Sestito.

Burrows now has 3 assists in 16 games and is a minus player. That is the stat line of a 4th liner if that, and he's playing 16 minutes on our top line for some reason. Now that we've fixed Booth, Burrows needs a kick in the head. He shouldn't get special treatment just because he generates chances and had success before - 16 games worth of chances and just 3 lowsy points is unacceptable. Demote him down the lineup the way Booth was and make him earn his spot or scratch him, because he's costing our top line some offence right now when there are plenty of other guys more capable than he is.

Edler for Yak?

:bigblush:

Where was burrows and Kesler?? Maybe send burrows to Montreal and Kesler to Philly or Columbus . Team needs so badly a shakeup and management sit by for 2 wasted years to watch the sudden fall of a team gutted with no immediate blue chip prospects, a goalie who doesn't want to be here, a dead powerplay, NTC a plenty, no 2nd line and Kassian.

Stellar.

The only reason people were 'wrong' about Schneider is because all 29 teams in the league wanted no part of Luongo and his contract.

Okay that game was painful but people need to stop blaming individuals this is a TEAM sport the Canucks win or lose as a team.

We lost because we once again couldn't get enough goals to win

We lost because our defense as a whole weren't playing all that good

We lost because we got out played all around
