My picks:

Mega Man - far more interesting character, with a better backstory and personality I find, especially in the X/Zero games

Samus - same reasoning as above, plus sonic is grossly overrated

Snake - a character this great simply shouldn't lose to someone like Luigi

Mario - I wanted Cloud to win so I could finally vote against Mario, but Pikachu doesn't offer much character-wise

Samus - Very underrated character.

I'm not sure if there would be enough to make a full tournament for that, but it could be a possibility, and I appreciate the suggestion.

This tournament has only gotten roughly half the votes as the top video game franchise tournament, so I think CDC is a bit tired of tournaments for now, so maybe that one or something similar could be done down the road.
