Moving Luongo's contract and to a lesser extent, Diaz's contract, will help ownership absorb the losses they look to miss out on by missing the playoffs. He is a depth defencemen that makes more money than Alberts and Weber. Moving Diaz wasn't about improving the team, it was about moving some salary in a position of depth now that the D is healthy. I'm not even going to include anything past the 1st round. Same song and dance, bad, bad, bad....BAD drafting... Bad. Cody hodgson was bad drafting? You can't hide behind your "only in a Canucks uniform" stance. If we are discounting a players points after being traded you have to add the returning players points. Soooo.... Ballard ---> 16points Ehrhoff ---> 94points Kassian ---> 32 points Add that 142 to the 55 you had and we are at 197 points. Not the greatest but almost 4 times your doom and gloom outlook.
