I guess its up to the brain trust to figure out who is staying and who is going now.

Quite frankly I'll be disgusted if McCann or Hutton don't make the team and Vey does. Both McCann and Hutton played excellent every game they played in while Vey did absolutely nothing.

Based on what management has promised us (we'll make room for the rookies if they prove themselves), this will be their defining moment. If they give Vey a spot over these kids who have done nothing but prove themselves time and time again - I'll have lost my faith in them.

First things first. Hopefully Canns and Virt get the 9 games and solidify their chances. Vey has nothing to do with Huttons chances, it's more about waiver eligible Corrado. If he goes back to Utica, it he will be first D callup. JB will have to find a way to move someone at some point.

Because they're good players... like really good players. in fact they're so good that when you talk about other good players their good isn't as good as the good players that played so good tonight. I mean real good. waiting for them to be better but they were good, like real good

Are you paid by the organization to be the most useful person on this board?

Nope. I am.

Vey will probably get a roster spot anyway as the 13th forward. You wouldn't keep McCann or Virt as 13th man.

From last years Canucks squad, there looks like a definite improvement in the teams overall speed...Even though Sutters getting ragged on by some of the fanbase, you had to like the fact that he can breakaway...a definite improvement over Bonino IMO (although Bonino does have a good shot)...Bartkowski and Hutton add to better overall mobility.

This team might be fun to watch,.....whatever the doomers and gloomers say...

I have to add that RNH was amazing...the Oilers have an embarrassment of riches in the forward position...Although when you pressure their D,it can be open season.

Was at the game.

Sutter was decent with the Sedins. Missed a couple of grade-A chances, but he was usually in the right spots. Lost the puck a few times cycling with them, but he did alright.

Bo was Bo. He was excellent. Seemed like he always made some chances whether he was with Baertschi/Vrbata or Burrows/Hansen.

McCann played very well. I liked his game for what he was given, and he set up some nice plays, and played well defensively.

Virtanen played pretty smooth. Definitely the most skilled on his line, trying to create things with Prust and Cracknell but they just couldn't really keep up.

Miller was excellent. Late goal on him, but a beauty play by the Oilers, and we made up for it anyways.

Taking the night off

Having said that should be interesting what happens Vey not playing maybe a sign that he is being waived

Hutton needs to be top 6 this year

McCann should play 9 games Virtanen should too

Baerstchi and Horvat killer duo going forward

Hutton is probably gonna get sent down, We still have Weber and Corrado.. Even though Corrado hasn't earned it.

I also think Vey does NOT get waived. But McCann better get 9 games and I'll be happy

He hasn't, but he has potential to be a top 4. He would be claimed. Hutton will be first call up

Also agree about Vey, but I'm also a huge Supporter so I'm bias

Vey sitting in the last pre-season game while having done nothing all pre-season.............. he will be on the opening lineup lol.
