Mean Tweets to Female Sportcasters

I saw the title of this, and assumed that it would be like the Jimmy Kimmel skits, I was wrong.

I reccomend you guys all watch this if you haven't yet. People think they can hide behind a computer screen and remain anonymous for the things they say,

This kind of shows the effect it has, for nothing more than being a female involved in sports.

Wow. Really big 'men' (POS is more like it) hiding behind their keyboards...... bet they wouldn't like those same comments being directed to/about a woman that they loved......wife, daughter, mother, girlfriend, sister etc. They know if they said them face to face  with the woman the comments are directed to (if they actually had the balls to say it, that is) that today's women would put them on the ground. So they hide behind a keyboard.......thinking they're anonymous. What they need to remember is, there is no such thing as true anonymity online anymore....

It was hard watching the men doing the reading struggling to even say some of those words out loud......those that refused to read some of the comments....those who felt compelled to apologize for the disgusting behavior of some of their gender......those obviously struggling to contain their emotions at the comments made online to the women in front of them.

When empathy is removed from social media communications, you are left with an increasing number of sociopaths, or people with growing sociopathic tendencies.  By removing any consequence for what is written on social media, negative character traits are compounding.  What the hell is wrong with these people.  We need to make those people read what they wrote to the sportscasters in front of their Moms, sisters or Grandmothers.  The internet makes me sad sometimes.

Female sideline reporters are harassed constantly at college and pro games by people in the stands.  There's been interviews and short articles written about that.  Just look at Erin Andrews as an example.  During her recent court case she outlined the on-the-job harassment that she constantly receives.

"Today's women", especially these sideline reporters, really can't do anything about it because their livelihood is on the line.  And it's a good livelihood too.  Short of most guys just standing there and taking it they can't do anything physical (if that's what you meant) for more than one reason (economic loss, nature builds men bigger and stronger, etc.).

What's funny is that 95% of these same people who mock these women would get crushed if they tried to match their sports knowledge against these professional reporters.

Oh good grief.  Learn to take a joke.

There is NOTHING funny about rape. There are NO funny 'jokes' about rape.

Making fun of someone by suggesting they've revoked their 'man' card says all there is to say about you....joke or not.

We weren't talking about rape.  Learn to read.
