Building a team from scratch like this is awesome but takes a lot of work. I find that we are both completely on the same page in terms of approach and also challenge each other's thinking on different ideas. It's been really fun so far. Adam McQuaid has signed a 4 year contract extension, worth $12M ($3M AAV). I think it was in the best interest of the team to get them both locked up for the near future at a low cap hit. Age is okay in the lower pairings, or middle six lines, as long as there is a plan and we are working our plan every day. Every day. The room is great right now, why mess with a good thing? Big thanks to Monty for good negotiations and thank you to Adam McQuaid and Alexei Emelin for wanting to stick around here with us. Means a lot.
