A few notable moves were made for this upcoming season - the additions of Corey Crawford, Jordan Staal, Jon Merrill, and Cam Ward. It was crucial for management to upgrade certain areas of need so that's exactly what was accomplished with these trades. The addition of Crawford finally solidifies the Dallas crease giving a bonafide world class goaltender to rely on. Jordan Staal adds some much needed balance with his defensive expertise. Having an abundance of scoring weapons, a player of his calibre will go a long ways in creating that two-way presence and not just being known as a one-dimensional team. Jon Merrill likewise adds a similar element on the back end. And Cam Ward is just the cherry on top to completely revitalizing and solidifying the Dallas goaltending tandem; it's comforting knowing we now have 2 quality, veteran options to lean on in any given moment. It's been a while since the likes of Stars legends Marty Turco and Brendan Morrow left the game and we can proudly say that these latest acquisitions will finally be able to fill the void they left behind in Corey and Jordan. We're certain the Stars faithful are appreciative of this and it will go a long ways in taking the next step with this special group of players.
