Hurts to give up an asset like Labanc and a 1st, but there's so much to like about the Jets right now. The other guys coming back are just to bring Chicago back under 50 contracts. To CAR: Charlie Coyle, 2019 VAN 4th To VAN: Keith Yandle (2.5m retained this season and next), 2019 CAR 3rd Thanks for processing MM. Also a big thanks to @Primal Optimist for the best convo I’ve had on here in a while. Yandle is good for more pool points than Coyle, so this was a trade that definitely helps Vancouver push for that final wildcard spot in the West. While the Panthers aren’t making the playoffs this year, that organization has a lot of young talent, and hopefully can push for the playoffs again next year. Best of luck in Vancouver! As for Coyle, this trade also comes with risk. First, having to retain salary is never something I like doing. In fact, this is the first trade in FL where I’ve had to retain. But thems the breaks. Second, there have been rumours (I know, rumours don’t equate to actual movement) that he may be traded IRL. If this indeed happens, unsure where he actually ends up. While I like the Wild, and appreciate that they’re an organization that is trying to win, Coyle might be the odd man out soon. However, my defense in the near future, even after moving out Gardiner and now Yandle, is still looking good. With Andersson and (likely) Ozhiganov playing in the NHL next year, and hopefully LA calling Fantenberg back up, my defense next year should be fine. Primal Optimist
I appreciate your time and that was a good aside we had there Monty...Coyle is certainly stuck behind some guys and you would benefit from a trade in that he will get a more offensive role if he moves, but your taking risks in that he may not move to a playoff team. I still think I can make a push for a wildcard spot now that health is on my side and Keith Yandle is a move up for my Defence. It is risky regardless but I think on the balance this trade is a "fantasy hockey trade" where it balances due to the fantasy twist that is slightly different from reality...we can't escape it....what real life team a player is on matters to our league..as does years of tenure and cap hit per year and future points potential vs older players who have reached that potential. I am getting a known quantity i can depend on..the tricky part was valueing Coyles potential and role in years to come. all in all, I am satisfied that I got a fair deal that I didn't "win" and somewhat satisfied that you didn't totally "win" it either. Good nuff. Thank you. Now to sit back and collect some points and try to move up closer to 15th overall before the deadline.

Mr.Miyagi
Alex Ovechkin - 324fpts, Speaks for himself. No low ball offers. It's friggen Ovie. Top LW scorer Riley Sheahan - 79fpts, Plays bot 6 on a Pit team you can never count out. Affordable Melker Karlsson - 91fpts, plays Mid 6, young p, bit of surprise player. Michael Grabner - 147fpts, any chance for me to consider something right away will need to really woo me. May wait till closer to Deadline day with the rumours he may be on the move. But if the offer is too good and you wanna jump before its open season... Jeff Carter - 16fpts (Injured), not going to sell him short for pennies. Still a solid top 6 player. Look back to last year. He hasn't changed because he was hurt. Will still want fair value at the price of a 1st and prospect. Nikita Zaitsev - 99fpts (injured), also been injured and was on pace for a good season. Still young enough to fit in my plans and committed long term irl. Also a great contract. So again no selling for cheap. Craig Anderson - 167fpts, Not on a playoff team but not in my future plans either. So will listen to any sorts of offers. Even package with any player mentioned here Brian Dumoulin - 63fpts, Good youngish guy. Again on a Pit team you can never count out Kyle Clifford - 44fpts, May be good for some PIM come playoff time Ryan Carpenter - 9fpts, won't lie, not very impressive. But you never know. Maybe Vegas has a rash of injuries. That team is poised to go far Mark Borowiecki - 56fpts, Faces injuries this year but is a dman in this league that piles on he fantasy points. Also not in future plans. Was acquired as I needed Dmen Sorry to be a broken record, but lots of great players still available. Lots of playoff assets. Ideally would like younger guys playing now. But picks or prospects a year or so away will be considered as well
