Baer.
Re-signing guidelines @Patrick Kane will be the agent for eastern conference teams. @Spoderman will be the agent for western conference teams. @Baer. will be the league-wide RFA agent. Re-signing phase Teams will have 3 days to send in offers. Please send in all your offers as soon as the re-sign phase opens up. If you fail to send in offers until the very last second or past the given time, your players will potentially walk to Free Agency, and will demand more money given the situation. The earlier you send in your offers, the more likely you'll get the deal you are looking for if the offer is reasonable. Re-Signing UFAs PM all offers with proper reasoning on why the player should stay (potential role, linemates, etc). Also provide the average cap hit and years. The PM must be titled “Your Team Name - RGMG UFAs”. If you do not follow this format, the agent has a right to refuse to open and or delete the PM entirely. Please make sure to send all of your offers in the initial message when sending the PM. This makes it much easier for the agents to send a counter-offer, and deal with the re-sign phase in a quick, and timely manner. If the issue is cap-related and you would want to wait to make offers to your other players later in the resign phase, please instead list a priority in which you want what players to sign first. Posting single offers at a time can result in the process taking longer, or the agent missing the offer entirely. The agents are not responsible for this if this is how you go about re-signing your players, so try to keep it to a maximum of THREE posts total that contain initial offers in it. When consulting with the UFA agent(s), players that have no real pedigree or high-end status in the NHL will not be willing to accept contracts of more than 3 years. Please take that into account when sending offers for depth/4th liners/bottom pairing defenceman. Example offer (very brief one, please expand more in an actual offer): Hey, I am looking to extend “player name”. He is a big part of our future, he will be on our 1st line for the foreseeable future…. We are a cup contending team, and need his skills. We are offering a “?” year deal averaging “?” million. Thank you. Re-Signing RFAs RFA resigning will be in a arbitration basis. You will PM Baer, with the title of the PM being “Your Team Name - RGMG RFAs” and all your RFAs you wish to re-sign. RFA Eligibility Any player who is under 27 years of age is eligible for restricted free agency. RFA Arbitration You also provide Baer a 'deal type' for your RFAs: 1 year (prove yourself contract) 2 year (bridge) 5 year (long term, I believe in you). If the player has not played ONE FULL SEASON in the NHL, you are not eligible to sign the player to a 5 year contract. Also note that changing the term you wish to offer (switching from 2 years to 5 years) will result in you having to wait and subject your RFAs to possible offer-sheets. Baer will then arbitrate a dollar value and you have the option to accept it or decline and re-arbitrate. If you decline the offer the RFA will be subjected to receiving offersheets. General Ballpark for Salary Please note that this is a ballpark, and salary can range at my discretion. 8,000,000 – 10,000,000 The league’s elite. This salary bracket is reserved for the goaltenders, forwards, and defenceman who are CONSISTENTLY among the tops in their positions. 7,000,000 – 8,000,000 1st line players who have CONSISTENTLY produce 70 or more points. Top pairing D-men who excel defensively and/or CONSISTENTLY produce 50 or more points 6,000,000 – 7,000,000 Elite 2nd line players who CONSISTENTLY produce between 60 and 70 points. High end top 4 D-men who are strong defensively and/or CONSISTENTLY produce between 40 and 50 points. 3,500,000 – 6,000,000 The biggest range where likely the most players will find themselves. This can range from high end 3rd liners to good 2nd liners. From the bottom pairing shutdown defenceman to the 2nd pairing power play specialist. Forwards producing between 35 and 60 points and defenceman who are good defensively and/or produce between 25 and 40 points. 1,500,000 – 3,500,000 3rd liners who are 1 dimensional either offensively or defensively. Bottom pairing defenceman that can still pull their weight on the team and make a cameo on the 2nd pairing. 1,000,000 – 1,500,000 4th line players, bottom pairing defenceman. <1,000,000 Spare players/Backups/Scrubs. Fairly self explanatory. Factors for Contracts Potential: If you try to sign an RFA with a sub-par season to a five year deal, he would get paid based on potentialConsistency: One good season at 31 years old does not necessarily merit a high end contractPedigree: If Toews and Zajac produce at the same clip, Toews would get a higher contract due to his pedigree/upsideOther stats: Hits, faceoff percentage, blocked shots, +/-, etc can play a factor on contracts. Patrick Kane
Before going into Season 2, we are doing an extreme overhaul of the GMs. We only want decently active members, who have some interest. We are willing to give newbies a shot, who haven't tried before and are interested. @Baer. @Alain Vigneault is Vice President of Recruitment, and will make a list of GMs he believes haven't contributed enough to RGMG, and reach out to see if there is still interest.
