Quantum Posted June 22, 2018 Share Posted June 22, 2018 Not surprised. He was Tim Murray's guy, not Jason Botterill's guy, so Jason had not attachment to him. My gut says the Sabres will make a run at Carter Hutton for a Hutton/Ullmark split next season. Hutton will get to be the starter with Ullmark serving more as a 1B. Hutton is also 32, so he won't be expected to be the long term starter and will probably serve as a nice bridge guy for Ullmark as he adjusts to the NHL. That or the Sabres are the stealth team in on Grubauer or they're eyeing Garret Sparks (there's no way Sparks makes it through waivers this fall after his AHL performance) from Toronto. I'll be interested to see where Lehner lands. It'll probably be in either St. Louis or Dallas. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
