Unfortunately, Wennberg just didn't fit in on the 3rd line. After a failed Getzlaf experiment and now Wennberg, thought I'd pivot away from playmaking centers and try something different. Malgin is a guy I scouted all the way back in season 1 and tried to acquire with a 2nd round pick way back then. Hopefully he can fit in. AV.
Thanks to @Bombastik der Teutone @Bomba for the quick negotiations, as usual. Unfortunately, Hutton just didn't look like an NHL goalie. After a failed Hutton experiment and now Crawford, thought I'd pivot away from ageing goalies and try something different. Allen is a guy that somehow became available and wasn't a geriatric. Hopefully he can fit in. 2

Kobayashi Maru
2 minutes ago, Patrick Kane said: Thanks to @EP40. for the quick negotiations. While we know Kravstov is starting to emerge, he will still be a few years from taking over Ehlers and Kane on LW. Getting Skinner gives the coach some more veteran options in the top two lines and on the 2nd PP. We're happy to have Skinner on the team for at least the next few years. 1

Popular Post Nail
2023 DRAFT TIDBITS PART 2 The Other Top Guys James Walker (LW) A common theme in this draft seems to be snipers who can't play defense. Walker may be another example of that, off to a blazing start this year with Quebec in the QMJHL with 20 goals and 20 assists in 29 games. Walker has a crazy 8.38 AVR so far, and is a shot suppression machine with 105 already. With an August 5th birthday, the Quebec City native is one of the younger players in this years draft, but will need to use this to his advantage to develop some sort of defensive game in order to round out his overall game. Tyler Bowman (C/LW/RW) You guessed it, another sniper. Bowman is a player whom many scouts likely project to be a winger at the NHL level, due to his deficiencies in the defensive zone. Bowman is a player who's been on scouts radar since last year, after he showed up putting up 36 goals and 104 points in 68 QMJHL games for Chicoutimi. This season, Bowman is off to a similar start with 18 goals and 41 points in 29 games. The New Brunswick born forward has some of the best top end skating speed in this years draft, and teams looking for goal scorers who can't handle their own defensively will have a lot of players to choose from this year. Alexandre Ingram (LD) A rangy 6'4 two-way defender out of Brandon in the WHL, Ingram is currently in his 3rd WHL season, which may be a letdown compared to his first two. During his first 2 seasons, Ingram put up 40+ points in 72 games, showing he is a threat both offensively and defensively. This season, he only has 5 points in 27 games so far, and his defensive game has taken a hit. This may be attributed to playing on a weaker team right now, but scouts have already viewed Ingram as a more raw prospect who will need some development both offensively and defensively to fully reach his potential. Darius Gaiser (RW/C) Forward? Check. Sniper? Check. Defensively lacking? Check. Let me know if you've heard this story before. Gaiser is a German goal scoring winger currently playing for Ingolstadt where he's currently PPG with 6 goals through 14 games. Even though he is a later birthday, Gaiser has been playing in the top German league since he was 15 years old, and has impressed with 103 career points in 139 career games. At 6'2 205 lbs, some teams may move Gaiser to the top of their draft lists just due to the fact he's been playing pro hockey for so long already. Spencer Lyszczarczyk (LW) A PLAYMAKING forward who's currently in his rookie season in the QMJHL, "Liz" has shown that he has a goal scoring side too, starting off the year with 23 goals and 38 points through 29 games. This, along with an 8.14 AVR has scouts impressed with his game so far in Moncton. Correct me if you've heard this before, but Liz has some of his own issues defensively, but may have a more well rounded offensive game than some of the pure snipers in this draft class. At 6'1 and 200 lbs, Liz has NHL size and is ready physically, but still needs to work on his skating. 4 1
