Otherwise the Franchise, despite it's young stars, will forever end up like Edmonton or Buffalo Plus until Benning ends up with a Jake Guentzel or a Brayden Point ... A monkey could draft as well, best player available script, its the third round and later picks that really can help build teams. I think of all the picks Benning made Pettersson and Boeser is where I give him credit. But for every Pettersson or Boeser you have a Virtanen or Juolevi. If you want to see great draft, especially in the 1st round, I think Winnipeg fits that category Even McCann who looks to be a good player Benning passed on Pastrnak. Which is a head scratcher especially if you consider Benning was part of the Bruins organization just a couple of months prior the draft. As for the later rounds that "it player" we were all hoping that would be Adam Gaudette but looking at how this season is going its hard to see that.
