what about reunite Domi and Horvat, with Domi centering the 3rd line ? 
 

i guess he s around 4M now, and if we manage to get ride of Dickinson, we should have enough cap to ink him.

Domi made $6M last year and has fallen off a lot since putting up 72 points in 2018-19

I don't understand the interest in Domi. Undersized and on a pretty severe downward trajectory. Even in the playoffs, except for one Game 7 against Boston, he was inconsequential. 

 

I'd much rather have Trocheck who brings grit, agitation, and a nose for the net. Trocheck makes a difference in a game even if he isn't scoring.

 

Pettersson, Horvat, and Trocheck as your top 3 interchangeable centres would be pretty awesome.

There's a good spectrum of 3Cs on the market, it just depends how much cap we have to play with.

 

Copp will go for 5-6M and realistically be some team's 2nd line center or winger.

 

Malkin is still a top-6 center and will get silly money.

 

Domi is a decent 3C with potential to play in a top 6 winger role, probably going to get around 4M which is a bit steep for us right now.

 

Paul just went for 3.1M with term so realistically valued at around 3.5M.

 

Jarnkrok/Janmark/Tierney are all fairly similar, less offence, so should fetch between 2.5-3M

 

Then the lower tier guys like Lazar for a 4th line should get around 1M.

 

For me, we go after Tierney or Jarnkrok/Janmark. Not flashy, get the job done, eat some 3C minutes and PK. Some offence would be nice which these guys offer. They're probably going to be playing with Pearson and Hoglander.
