My problem with Dvorsky is he can't carry the puck or distribute it while in motion very well. Looks like a PP/PK specialist to me. He seems to be at his best.

Yager I just see mediocre skating and 1 way play. He doesn't scream offensive dynamo to me though he has a good shot. He leaves a lot to be desired on the defensive side of things. I think his floor is scary low.

I'm hopeful for 1 of

Reinbacher

Ritchie

Danielson

Moore

Simashev

Barlow

Leonard

ASP

In that order.

At least there is a very good chance we get one of them. Really only Yager Cristal Sale and Dvorsky are the guys I'm worried about.

From what I've seen Dvorsky can distubute the puck quite well, he has 11 assists in 10 games in J20 Nationell this year. In my opinion Dvorsky is exactly the type of player we need as a 2 line center. He plays a heavy two way pro style game and comes with a low floor and high offense ceiling. I would be ecstatic if we got him or Reinbacher in this draft.

He distributes the puck well when the play is set up and stagnant in the O zone like on the PP or when they have control. But he does not in my opinion move the puck well in motion. The puck usually dies on his stick when he carries it. This is what I have observed you may have different observations.

Dvorsky is great at puck handling and distribution, he will have a really good bounce back next season, anything after 10 and hes a good pick. However if you are worried then one of Reinbacher, Simashev, ASP, Danielson, or even a Daniil But, kid is a big strong skater and i think hes being undervalued...but id only take But from 13 and later

we have Montreal, Philly and Arizona ahead of us.  Arizona with 2 picks in the top 1.  One of them may very well pick a defenseman.

Montreal is looking to be a top 5, they may reach for Reinbacher but there is a top 5 of skilled forwards that would be hard to pass on. Philadelphia is going to grab one of Benson, Moore, Dvorsky, Sale, or even a Danielson i think, they need some help up front bad and Gauthier had an ok year but not spectacular in college

Montreal still has the florida pick to parlay upwards as well.  Philly with Briere for me is the outlier and I've no idea his leanings.  but with Montreal and Arizona having additional picks the idea of them moving upwards/backwards is far from unlikely.  Montreal is the one I can see more than anyone moving for a defenseman with one of those picks

I think Montreal grabs a forward with their pick and with the florida pick it depends, they can package it with another pick and move up but if they stay in that 14-20 range, they could get ASP, Simashev, Gulyayev, Dragcevic, Bonk or Molendyk

Unless it's Michkov or Benson, I'm not keen on drafting another winger. Canucks need Cs and Ds, like every year.

Wish List:

The Big 3

Michkov

Benson

Smith

Moore

Reinbacher

Dvorsky

Leonard

Agreed the only wingers that intrigue me are Michkov and Benson.

Wish List for me would go:

Big 3

MM

Benson

Reinbacher

Dvorsky

Smith

Moore

ASP

Danielson

I could see them drafting Guly with that pick for sure

Tht thing is.  I am not sold on us drafting 8th.  I still think we'll pass detroit washington and st louis.  If you think for a second that yzerman wouldn't jump on a defenseman as well.  Or washington anyone russian.  I still feel there's an outside chance 2 defensemen go top 10 this year

I like including ASP as well, I think he's going to be a good puck moving D.

Hughes - ?

? - Hronek

? - ASP

Rathbone

That's a lot of high end mobility, maybe too much?

Never too many puck movers, eventually ASP takes Hroneks spot. We also have Jurmo and D-Petey on that left hand side. You can also try and trade into the 2nd round and grab some high end LHD

Hronek turned 25 only a few months ago.

Smallest D corp in the league. Cannot ice 6 offensive Dmen and wonder why the net get filled 4 times a game.

If you have the puck a lot its hard for a team to score 4. Plus Hronek, D-Petey, Jurmo are all big bodies who can move. Add a Reinbacher (gonna be 6'3) or ASP (6'1) or even a Simashev (6'4) and thats not that small
