Three Stars:

1. Shayne Gostisbehere - One of our top free agent signings this summer, Shayne has seemed to get back to his ways of being the offensive Dman we all know he can be. We hope to see Shayne dealt from AZ IRL, and would love to see what he can do on a contending team

2. J.J Moser - JJ has been a hell of an addition and also showing that he has the tools to be a great offensive dman in this league. Still only 22, we expect he will continue to take strides forward in his development and hope to have him around for years to come

3. Jake Debrusk - New coach IRL has really seemed to up his game. We are ecstatic about how Jake has been playing and for what we feel is a bargain deal currently.

Honourable Mentions: Jordan Eberle, Jeff Skinner, Matias Macceli

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly: Every team goes through ups and downs. But here are the good, bad and ugly so far

The Good: We have made it known that we are in a bit of a retool with this team, however to be 12th in the league at this mark is actually a surprise to us. We figured we would be somewhere in the low 20's, but we will take it. We still however are not going to change our approach as we have many young players on our team knocking at the door, mixed in with a great prospect group, we still feel our contention window is a few seasons away

The Bad: Not a bad problem to have, but we are overcrowded with players who deserve playing time. As we get closer to deadline day, I am sure we will move some bodies out to open some spots, but it has been tough to find ice time for all deserving players thus far. Also, we are unhappy with a few of our projected top 6 players production as well, but also not surprised

The Ugly: Goaltending. Our teams goaltending has not been up to snuff this year, and we are really dissapointed to see this. We started the year with 3 goalies who were young and we figured would take a step forward, but now remain with 2 of those goalies and it seems as though they have regressed. We are hoping to see improvement, but we will actively continue to look to upgrade, or find our goalie of the future

Quarter Mark Grade: B+

We are happy to see where we have landed in the standing, especially with our struggles in goal, as well as some of the top 6 players not producing like we would have liked. Though we are near the top 10 in the league, expect Tampa Bay to likely be sellers as the season goes on and we approach the deadline.

Short list for Vancouver THREE STARS of the month for November:

Jason Robertson, of course..running away with it now: 132 points

Jani Hakanpaa with 47 points so far from the blueline in November

Tyler Myers is so far matching Jani step for step and point for point...

John Klingberg has brought himself back into relevance with his 42 point effort this month.

Caleb Jones and Jamie Oleksiak with an outside chance AGAIN with 35 and 33 points respectively.

Anze Kopitar, as always, in the running with 30 points so far

With a few days left in the month, third star could go to anyone above not named Robertson: glad to see my blueline paying dividends as 5 of the seven finalists are defenders!
