Sounds like Demkos stats

Actually Demkos is worse.  He is ranked 68th out of 73 Goalies for Save Percentage and 67th out of 73 Goalies for Goals Against Avg.     Almost - but not quite the worst goalie in the entire National Hockey League!   Unbelievable!

Yeah, when the team you play on needs 5+ goals to win you’re +/- numbers will be bad. Water is also wet.

FYI:  Pearson is the ranked the 722nd worst +/- player in the league out of 736 active players.  (736 is the very worst in the entire National Hockey league)

Should have never been resigned by Uncle Jim B. (Another in the long list of benning screwball mistakes)

Whether or not someone likes the signing, not sure what this stat proves.

Every player starting at #349 is -1 or lower and for context look at every guy tied with or below him -

Josi 9.059M, Laughton 3M, JT 8M, Namestikov 2.5M, Neighbours .835M, Parayko 6.5M, Pearson 3.25, Bryson 1.85M, Ferraro 3.25M, Granlund 5M, Couture 8M, Gostisbiere 4.5M, Kunin 2.75M, Nieto .850M, Hayton 1.75M, Krug 6.5M, O’Reilly 7.5M, Ovechkin 9.5 M, and coming in tied for last Jordan Kyrou 8.125 for 8 more years.

Last year Pearson was tied for #164 at +9.

Blaming a 3rd liner on a garbage team for having a bad +/- is also pretty laughable.

Imagine if Demko was around his usual 2 GAA a game…

We’d have a lot more wins that’s for sure.

Imagine if we had a league average PK…. Not even top 5, just league average, we’d be unstoppable with a league avg PK and Demko playing like Demko

Why didn't we just keep Brad Richardson for our token journeyman player ? But noooo. Jim 1.0 loves his roster turnover

I love Richardson and wish we kept him from his first stint. But, a 38 year old Brad Richardson isn’t moving the needle for us at all.

What does dawg stand for?

Not sure if it's actually an acronym for something, but it's a statistic Faber invented to see how much... Dog is in a player on any given night. It's a combination of different stats then all mathed up to form a statistic number to how much fight a player is putting up every night.

For example, if a guy is blocking shots, throwing hits, involved in play he's got some dog in him that night. He's playing well. If he's passive and not involved, no dog. From what I gathered, it's a numerical statistic to try to track the "give a shit" level of players.

Schenn, Burroughs, Petey have often had big DAWG nights. OEL, Miller(on his bad games, on his good games he rates high), Kuzmenko often rate lower on the DAWG rating.

Pearson has stuck up for players this year, really biggest complaint of him this year is too many offensive zone penalties.

Last year isn't this year - unfortunately.     He's getting old and worse.....  Facts are facts!  Pearson's still the  722nd worst +/- player in the entire National Hockey League out of 736 active players according to official NHL Stats - as of tonight.
