For these purposes, we are only starting with this year's draft lottery because it JUST happened. So teams who won draft lotteries in 2022 and earlier won't be effected.

Montreal's already used his two bullets though. Sorry @snowflake

Meh

We had a few big drops with Dragicevic, Price, and Lardis.. But we feel all 3 will prove to be draft day steals for their NHL clubs. We are also very pleased with where our guys ended up. Can't wait to see these kids develop, and hopefully we see Lardis lining up with Bedard in the future!

We in Tampa Bay are very happy with our draft. We expected Mania would not go as early as we took him but are excited to see him end up in LA. Terrance with a +65 jump was also very nice to see as well. Excted for the 3 prospects we acquired in the draft and look forward to there progression over the next few years

NTC's shouldn't be applicable during RFA years.

Chicago Defensive Prospect Refection

after taking a gamble on a offensively focused defenseman with our 1st round pick this year, we thought we would take a look at our current pipeline at D and reflect on the only thing that matters when judging defensemen, POINTS!

21 2nd  LD Stanislav Svozil 20yo - 78 points 56 games in the WHL, 2 points 1 game in the AHL, 1 point 2 games in the NHL

21 3rd  RD Maxence Guenette 22yo - 40 points 72 games in the AHL

22 2nd  RD Christian Kyrou 19 - 20 goals 77 points 64 games in the OHL this past season.

22 2nd  LD Artyom Duda 19yo - 5 goals 13 points 14 games in the MHL, 3 points in 14 games in the KHL.

UFA - LD Alexander Nikishin 21yo - 55 points 65 games in the KHL

and now to welcome our newest addition...

23 1st  LD Mikhail Gulyayev 18yo - 25 points 22 games in the MHL, 4 points 12 games in the VHL, 1 point 13 games in the KHL

there is still a very long road ahead for all of these players, and with only a handle full of defensive spots available in a NHL lineup most wont end up playing their career at the NHL level, but were going to help these players reach their potential and hope to see them in a Chicago jersey one day!

Whoops - yeah that's my bad - he's eligible for no-trade protection one year from now, so the contract language has been ammended.
