So teams who won draft lotteries in 2022 and earlier won't be effected. Montreal's already used his two bullets though. Relyt Krets
We in Tampa Bay are very happy with our draft. We expected Mania would not go as early as we took him but are excited to see him end up in LA. Terrance with a +65 jump was also very nice to see as well. Sludge
Chicago Defensive Prospect Refection after taking a gamble on a offensively focused defenseman with our 1st round pick this year, we thought we would take a look at our current pipeline at D and reflect on the only thing that matters when judging defensemen, POINTS! 21 2nd LD Stanislav Svozil 20yo - 78 points 56 games in the WHL, 2 points 1 game in the AHL, 1 point 2 games in the NHL 21 3rd RD Maxence Guenette 22yo - 40 points 72 games in the AHL 22 2nd RD Christian Kyrou 19 - 20 goals 77 points 64 games in the OHL this past season. 22 2nd LD Artyom Duda 19yo - 5 goals 13 points 14 games in the MHL, 3 points in 14 games in the KHL. UFA - LD Alexander Nikishin 21yo - 55 points 65 games in the KHL and now to welcome our newest addition... 23 1st LD Mikhail Gulyayev 18yo - 25 points 22 games in the MHL, 4 points 12 games in the VHL, 1 point 13 games in the KHL there is still a very long road ahead for all of these players, and with only a handle full of defensive spots available in a NHL lineup most wont end up playing their career at the NHL level, but were going to help these players reach their potential and hope to see them in a Chicago jersey one day!

Popular Post Primal Optimist
Development Dive, How are the kraken's unsigned Prospects looking? Brad Lambert: The step back to the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds proved the best step forward for this high level Canadian Finn. 38 points in 26 regluar season games was a prelude to his absolutely astounding 26 points in 17 playoff games for the Tbirds before adding 3 points in 5 Memorial Cup games. Looking forward to seeing a DOMINANT year if he stays in Junior, as this was his first year on North American ice. Owen Pickering potted plenty, perhaps with pucks off the post. hehe. In 61 games with the WHL's Swift Current Bronco's, their captain, Owen P, managed a very healthy 45 points from the Blueline. He enjoyed a small taste of the AHL last year with an 8 game look at the pro level. Adam Sykora, still only 18 years old, played 38 games in the Slovak mens league, putting up 21 points before another 4 points in 8 playoff games. He was selected for Slovakia's WJC20 team, and got a goal in five games playing against the worlds best of his peer group at his 18th birthday last winter. He moved to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack after his playoffs overseas and got two games in on the N.A. ice before posting an assist in 4 playoff games. David Goyette rocked the OHL with 92 points in 63 games, before going on to a PPG over 4 playoff appearances with the Sudbury Wolves. He also got a couple reg. season games with the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds and then 2 points in 7 playoff games with them. Likely will return to Sudbury this year where he is sure to impress, with nothing left to prove at the Junior level. Maveric Lamoureaux, from the Blueline in Dummondville, QMJHL, managed 19 points in 35 games of the regular season and then went on a tear in the playoffs with 6 points and 16 penalty minutes in 9 playoff games. The 6'7" physical player keeps honing his impressive mobility, and should feature in the NHL one day after being taken in the first round by Arizona last summer. Isaiah George is a well rounded Dman playing with the London Knights of the OHL. He matched his point total from the previous year in 13 fewer games, with 22 points in 54 appearances. In the playoff's 20 games he was cast in a defensive effort and still managed 3 points from the backend. Jordan Gustafson, a player we traded for this past season, with 36 points in 40 games, had 2g and 2a in 9 playoff games and then 3 points in 5 Memorial Cup games, rounding out his season very nicely in development. Topi Ronni, who came over to Seattle in the same trade as Jordan Gustafson, was absolutely dominant in the Finn Under 20 league. First warming up with 10 points in 7 regular season games, and then turning up the heat with 15 points in 12 playoff games. he got his first taste of playing in a Pro Men's league and managed 5 pionts in 22 Liiga matches, as well as 7 points in 11 international games with Finland U20. Finally, David Spacek, acquired in a trade with Montreal, played in the Q this year and put on a clinic on how to play as an Offensive Defenseman. 57 points in 58 games and then 8 more points in 14 playoff games. His new years WJC20 with team Czechia was not wasted either: 8 points in 7 games against the best of his peers from around the world. a further 6 points in 8 other Czechia international matches put the bow and ribbon on this great young Dman. the AHL is the next step on the path and I can't wait to see what comes from the GML 102nd overall pick in the 22 draft. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Kids Are All Right. 3
