I'm starting to think that Cull needs to be shown the door. He's failed on so many prospects in his first year that I'm not neccessarily sure he is the best person to develop players. It especially seems like he can't do too well with European players since now Palmu and Dahlen are gone. -
I want to see if he can get some chemistry with Horvat. To good duos for the top two lines.

Biega has been impressive this year. In just 25 games this season he is already having a career year. I hope they keep him in the line up.

Benning basically smacked Dahlen upside his head with this trade. "OK, so you want a trade cause you think you should be in the lineup, so lets trade you to a team that's so deep you'll have no chance of getting to the NHL"

Good for Guddy, I can actually see him playing better in Pittsburgh and he now has a chance for a cup. Pearson might actually look pretty good with Horvat.

You are expecting a kid that is not even in a professional league against the likes of Karlsson, Burns, Thornton, Pavelski and co during mid season when he doesn't know how his own team plays to not get lit up? Seriosly?

Why do you think they needed McSorely and Semenko? Every team in the league had tough guys, cheap hits came from everywhere because there were no such thing as headshots. It was called a hit. Even the stars had to be tough. Players like Messier, Dennis Potvin, Probert would have ripped him to pieces.

We are talking about different eras though. Gretzky was way past his prime when Bure and Odjick was in the league.

At the same time though, Gretzky played in the clutch and grab era where players where literally hanging on players like a coat hanger. Also dirty hits happened more frequently than it does now because back then they were simply called hits. As good as Petey is, he would not survive in the NHL Gretzky played in.

As an 18 year old yes but what will Dahlin look like wheb he is the same age as Pettersson?

Can I at least see Dipietro lead the Canucks take the first lap around the ice by himself at least once before he leaves?

You can't really compare a defenceman to a forward though, they have different jobs on the ice. You can compare Dhalin to Hughes and Pettersson to Eichel if you want but Pettersson to Dhalin is a long shot.

Wow concussion right before the season starts and now this right after he joins the big club. This kid can't catch a break.

Petey needs to give the death stare. The media is too sensitive, if they can't handle a death stare because they asked a stupid question then ask better questions. Don't cast a negative light on a kid because of the way he interviews. He is a rookie on the ice and he is a rookie with the reporters. Let Petey do what he does.

They shouldn't. How many people would have wanted to give Henrik the C at that young age. He grew into it. With Edler at his age and being a veteran to be leaned on. Bo, Boeser and Petey have a few years to grow into that role. Edler would be the buffer.

Edler should be captain until Bo, Boeser and Petey matures.
