Ghostsof1915
Is he even still our property and is he willing to come to North America?
avelanch
technically, since he was drafted in 2008, after the 2005 change for europeans, and he was never signed to us, so he is technically no longer our property.
Salmonberries
Let's talk some Mats Froshaug!
Heinous Technicalities
Glad to hear we still have his rights. I believe he has 9 points in 7 games so far
eretz canucks
Why has he never been brought over for any prospects camp or any AHL camp??? He'd be like 22 or 23 now- shouldn't we take a good look at him?
avelanch
I'm not 100% on whether we actually own his rights or not. I honestly don't believe we do.
Salmonberries
Lørenskog IK has advanced to the championship final of the Norewgian League and will play Stavanger in a best-of-seven series. Mats has scored 5G and 3A in 10 games so far (4th in points on the team), and has a +10 rating (2nd on the team). I hope Mats can adapt his skills and experience to the NA game. Canvoucer Vanuck
I still think he should come over to NA to give it a shot while he's still young. You have the rest of your career to play at home in Norway if it doesn't work out.
TOMapleLaughs
A bust known to be one pretty much upon drafting. Whoops?

Bodee
Yeah, because no player has ever improved over a few seasons? Tim Thomas & Cliff Ronning say hello. As does Alex Burrows. I can't remember how big Mats was last time he played in the SEL, but he is now 6'2/220 pounds. So if size was part of the problem maybe it isn't anymore. But then again maybe it never was. The fact that he is destroying his point totals from last year and that he is 'known' as a defense-first forward should be a good sign. Hard to gauge how well he is playing though when you never hear/watch things happening in the Norwegian League.

Quick.........ship him over to the Wolves, where apparently our defenders aren't even"defence first"
Smashian Kassian
Should sign the guy and convince him to give the AHL a shot, could really help out the Wolves if he is as good as he seems.

Lancaster
Before some of you folks get ahead of yourselves, he playing Norway, hardly a hockey hotbed. Frøshaug has had only a cup of coffee in SEL. Until he's actually able to compete with the best in Europe, he'll be lucky to even be a role player in the AHL. Ossi Vaananen
Pretty sure we lost his rights anyway. He was an overager upon being drafted, he's 24 now and has yet to sign any NHL deal.
