Brunners
Yeah, I hate Boyd (Hun) and never thought much of Robson and his skills for SPL level and would probably do fine at MLS level. I've seen a few games with him at Boro and he seems as though he hasn't lost any of what skill set he did have. He's not the flashiest, that's for sure, but Robson is exactly the sort of player a team needs to be successful.
Scottish⑦Canuck
You signed Barry Robson? Was a decent player at Celtic. Should do alright in the MLS. Kris Boyd on the other hand, is a fat, useless lump of lard. And he played for Rangers, which just makes him worse.
Brunners
It's not definite that he's going yet, after all it is a Daily Mail post. All it says is that since Barry's out of contract this summer, he'll be off to Vancouver. Totally agree about Kris Boyd though. I think Portland are going to be in for a shock when he DOESN'T TURN UP.

Kamero89
With Jarju gone, do the 'Caps have an open "Designated Player" spot, or did we use that on Le Toux?

canucks3322
With Jarju gone, do the 'Caps have an open "Designated Player" spot, or did we use that on Le Toux? I think we do and we traded for Le Toux so he wouldn't count as a Designated player I think
theo5789
Le Toux was not a DP player in Philly and isn't one here. He is only making 155k or something like that. Technically we still have two remaining DP spots left if we wanted to fill them (the 3rd one comes with a fee).
Mighty Walrus
Rennie said in a Scottish newspaper that Robson will be joining the whitecaps in the summer. The whitecaps will probably announce this in the next few days. They are also interested in US international Bocanegra who currently plays for Rangers. If we manage to add Bocanegra and another midfielder I am very excited for this team. They can be a playoff contender next season if the team comes together well. Brunners
It's official. Barry Robson has signed a pre contract agreement with Vancouver Whitecaps FC
drdeath
Latest rumour is the caps are pursuing Bocanegra. Building the USMNT back four one at a time.
Brunners
As I understand it, if Bocanegra signs back in the MLS, he goes into an allocation draft right? Which is reverse order standings, + Montreal as an expansion? With Montreal picking 1st and Vancouver 2nd, and striker Eddie Johnson going into the allocation draft tomorrow, do you think Montreal take Johnson meaning Van pick 1st if/when Boca signs? _Kick_Save_
Heard Barry Robson is quite decent playing for middlesborough...looks like the caps finally have their midfielder.
Scottish⑦Canuck
You're in a decent position to get Bocanegra if you want him in the Summer. Rangers have just gone into administration and don't have the money to keep him. I liked him before he joined "them"... but once a hun, always a hun. Brunners
Heard Barry Robson is quite decent playing for middlesborough...looks like the caps finally have their midfielder. One of our best players this year by a long shot. With Nicky Bailey adopting an anchorman DM role Barry has had the freedom to play a more attacking style and he's been absolutely superb. Kamero89
Heard Barry Robson is quite decent playing for middlesborough...looks like the caps finally have their midfielder. Kinda sucks, that he will not be joining the team till July, but hey, still a good signing!
Brunners
Kinda sucks, that he will not be joining the team till July, but hey, still a good signing! On the plus side he'll be coming to you...maybe not fresh, but game ready. He won't have had a super long lay off.
theo5789
Hopefully Bocanegra decides to come to the MLS. With Montreal taking Johnson (then trading him), we are now in the top spot for the allocation draft.

bolt
Whitecaps dominated Montreal 3-0 in exhibition play friday night in Orlando. Hassli, Camilo, Mattocks and Le Toux all look very good; should be an exciting year.
