He should be the goalie moving forward. We'll see what happens though.

Defense would have been nice tonight. Guess they figured we didn't need it. Schneider was the only reason we were in that game.

Pretty much.. you don't need to look much further than our second line with what zero goals this series?... I hope we hang on to Schneider as far as im concerned he's won the job.

Hopefully he'll be our starter for next year. No hate to Luongo but hes on the decline while Schneider seems to be a great starter

If that was Luongo people would be trying to burn his house down right now, but because it was Schneider it's ok

Cory literally carried the team on his back.

The defence is atrocious. Luongo was unable to keep them in it, as much as Cory did.

Schneider has blossomed into an amazing, composed goaltender.

Feel bad for him, he battled hard to give us a chance.

But it's all part of the process...battling through the adversity, dealing with the bad times as well as the good.

Love him.

don't know why this turned into a LU VS SCHNEIDS --

schneids played excellent - gave us a chance to win.. defense offense didn't deliver.

his performance proved this team can't win with any goalie

MG should sign him, and I think they can keep both goalies. cap is going up

they can do a split with min starting games, and work it like blues and boston goaltending pairings

Schneider: we had high hopes, we let ourselves down and we let our fans down.

Always a well spoken man.

Canucks problems:

1) Shooting top shelf
2) Staying on skates
3) Secondary scoring.
4) Rushing defenseman.
5) 2nd PP unit.
6) Too much money for 3rd and 4th liners and not enough on second line
7) Consistent winger for Sedins as Burrows disappears in playoffs at times.

Something to think about:

Canucks in this series scored only 8 goals in 5 games and won 1 game in the first round, can't blame Schnieds or Lu one bit

SCF, Canucks scored 8 goals as well in 7 games(2 more games) but won 3 games, but LU gets the entire blame for the loss from everyone....

What does this tell everyone??

Enough said.

The defence was MORE atrocious in games 1 and 2 if you cared to watch.

Schnieds benefitted from a better team that pulled up their socks after getting embarassed in the first two outtings.. Not saying he didn't play great he did, but luongo played great too yet everyone thinks now luongo should go when schnider should stay yet schnieder hasn't played a full NHL season to his name let alone more than a single playoff series.

Are people seriously this crazy that they want to just ship out one of the best goaltenders in the league? And assuming they are, do they not realize that all Lu has to say is he wants to play next season here and that's all there is to it? Do people not realize that the likelyhood of him being traded all depends on him? People clearly do not understand his contract since all I read around here is that he's sure to go.. really?? Do explain.. I'd love to hear about it..

Where's the "beef"...I think a few changes are coming this way, but great season nun the less..."BALLS"

Duncan Keith's hit screwed the Team this year...I hope they change a few rules next year, so the games do not become head hunting 101.

Strange how the US based teams can hack, slash, jump on a player, crosscheck, trip, hold, hook at will and no calls, but if a Canuck player does anything it is called..."CBS CARES CBC DOES NOT".

What I'm worried about is Schnieder is just has the "backup factor". What happens when he becomes starter and plays some stinkers like Luongo? Cory will be the new scapegoat. Vancouver is truly a goalie graveyard destroying an elite goaltender like Luongo. If he is dealt, I wish him the best of luck because Luongo deserved better in his time here.

Everyone says a trade involving Schneider and Stamkos is stupid and retarded for even thinking about it but i think it is a VERY reasonable offer.
Only need to add a few draft picks or role players to the deal and it can be a really benefitial deal for both teams.

Schneider would be a starter for Tampa and Tampa really needs a goalie they can rely on instead of blindly having to pick one of the ones they got to stand infront of the net.
Tampa also has St.Louis who is a play maker that can make other people produce on the team.

Stamkos would LOVE to play for Vancouver because why would the highest scoring player want to play on a team that can't make the playoffs? Even though he is a center, we can convert him like we have been doing to all the other centers.
Sedin-Sedin-Stamkos would be lights out with potential of Daniel and Stamkos both reaching 50 goals.
This would allow for kes and burr to play fulltime together.

80'84': The Dynasty
After the Islanders' regular season dominance and playoff disappointment in 79', Arbour decided that he would no longer concern himself too greatly with his team's finish in the regular season. He focused his team on how they would perform in the playoffs. The Islanders dropped below the 100-point mark for the first time in five years, but they finally broke through and won 4 Stanley Cups.
