kesler is the king
I know theres more to it than points, but 14 points in 54 games doesnt strike me as productive in the postseason... Its not like a guy like Bergenheim where he does little during te season and is near a PPG in the post season
Navyblue
Hansen is (or was) our most under rated player. During the 2010-11 season it seemed like he was told to take every single hit he could and fore check like a mad man. I liked that player...but it seems like last year he was given the green light to score goals instead, while continuing to be defensively responsible of course...it just lacked the same relentless fore check. Anyway I'm just rambling off here. Hansen IMO is our second Burrows. Irreplaceable.
goblix
I wouldn't trade away an effective 3rd liner thats as cheap as hansen, plus I want to see a line of: Higgins - Shroeder - Hansen or Jensen/Kassian - Shroeder - Hansen granted if Manny is back in form then he takes the 3rd line centre role for sure. I miss Malhotra in his prime he was one of the more effective 3rd line centres we had before the injury
TheRocket18
keep hansen.
Captain Aerosex
Unless it's an offer that is impossible to refuse, we don't trade Hansen. He is the perfect 3rd liner, and I still think he has the potential to move up the line-up, the kid's shown some passing skill. HONEY BADGER DON'T TRADE, HONEY BADGER TAKES WHAT HE WANTS
GHL
Easily replaceable? YOU CANT REPLACE HONEY BADGER he's the only one that gives a damn every night.
rawkdrummer
Jensen is a top prospect and he's also a Dane, nuff' said!
Ryanstorm
Don't trade Hansen. Jensen-Lapierre-Hansen will be a one of the greatest 3rd lines in a couple of years. (forgot Jensen wasn't a center)
Super_Canuck
I agree with u OP. Hansen in a package would get us a very good return. He can be replaced.
keslerian one
I think you're confused between "most expendable" and "most tradeable." I can see that he's tradeable because everyone sees what he brings to the table at a great value, but that doesn't mean he's easily replaceable or thus expendable. Cup2013?
Yes, Honey Badger is awesome and we all love him But would he not be arguably our best trading chip after Luongo? Think of it this way - Productive, excellent checking 3rd liner - 26 year old, coming off of a career high in points - Signed cheap for 2 more seasons Now your probably thinking to yourself, those are all great reasons to keep him Wouldn't that mean his value is at an all time high? At this point and time, Hansen is easily replaceable. - Despite his haters, Raymond is a very serviceable 3rd liner - Kassian could see increased role on 3rd line - Jensen could be a long-term solution - Even guys like Rodin/Mallet could knock on the door sooner rather than later. Now I am not saying we should trade Hansen for the sake of trading Hansen However, perhaps he could be leveraged into returning a premium in an area of weakness on our roster. - Help in the top 6 - 3rd line center of similar value - Packaged with Luongo for an increased return in Luongo trade Instead of the typical "trade Raymond for nothing" thought process on CDC, why not consider moving Hansen for a premium, since we have players who could step in and replace him (and provide similar results)
JasetheCanuck
he's too diverse to trade away. other teams underestimate his versatility and will not offer as much as we want if we were to trade him. KEEP DA HONEY BADGER
Tortorella's Rant
I would honestly rather trade Raymond for next to "nothing"...only because I don't think I can take watching him play anymore.
riffraff
The laughability continues if Hansen traded before Raymond.

thehamburglar
I honestly don't think so. Raymond, Higgins and even Booth I think are more readily traded. The price, and effective usage of Hansen is worth more than these I believe at this moment at least.

The Brahma Bull
The Canucks as a whole give a damn very night. If not, they are promptly dealt with. Regarding Hansen, yes; he is a tradable asset. Next in line would suggest he's on his way out. I would tend to say Ballard is closest to the door as is Raymond after his talk with Gillis. Is Hansen replaceable? Yes he is. Does he have to be replaced? Not ad much as Raymond and Ballard. That said, Raymond's willingness to take a pay cut cannot be overlooked.
brooker
OR you could get Hansen to work on his faceoff skills and WALLA! not only do you have our best defensive forward playing a good shut down role but, you also don't have to read the get "unrealistic player and unrealistic trade thread talk"
