canucklax
Last time we had a lottery we drafted 10th. It's a crap shoot. If you ask me, Max Domi. There's also another elite offensive defencemen out of BC that was ranked in the top 10. I forgot his name.

Squeak
Shinkaruk. I drafted him in NHL 13, 76 overall 4 and a half star potential. Develops into a beast first line center

Derp...
Trade for Edmonton's pick because they are obviously getting first dibs again thanks to Gary... Once we have first overall, grab the closest thing to a Gretzky clone we can find
supermanbieksa
If we are lucky we'll be able to pick Jacob De La Rose, great hitter, good skill set and quite speedy.
ABNuck
Because this upcoming draft is FAR and away a more deep draft than the past one, this pick would be a good package deal pick to get a proven future star to eventually replace Hank or Dank (think Lou + this first for...NHL ready guy NOW + NHL ready future star in 2 years ie/ Bjustad etc.) I love the draft but trading picks for guys who have proven more once they hit the key developmental stages (beyond Junior ie/ AHL, NCAA etc.) seems to take a little guess work out of the equation. Also exposes weaknesses when a player has to play tougher competition EVERY night and doesn't have certain teammates to prop up personal stats. That would be my recommendation if I was on the Nucks scouting staff. But alas, I am but a fan now...
dorrcoq
How do you reconcile the statements "he's a stud on the ice" with "not very big"? Does that make him a stud midget, or a midget stud?

goalie13
I'm actually hoping that with the new CBA they will increase the draft age and skip the draft for a year. It would be less of a crap shoot if the kids were a year older. It's not going to happen, but one can dream.

warrchief
Wow, I can't believe no had said Jordan Subban yet. Either him, or Max Domi if they drop that far.

goalie13
With so many players making the NHL right after being drafted I can't see this happening. It would be unfair to ellite players that clearly have nothing left to prove in Jr. and are NHL ready at 18.
warrchief
I suggested either Hunter Shinkaruk or Jordan Subban if we got lucky with where we pick. Max Domi would be sick too.
bossram
Lets just win the draft lottery and take Mackinnon!! Realistically if there is a season, we'll be at the bottom of the barre; I would hope someone like Alex Forsberg, De la Rose or *cross fingers* Jonathan Drouin drops to us. Probable looking at maybe Max Domi or something if we're lucky.
