The attendance in Game 1 was not that great for a playoff game, it was the lowest playoff attendance the Royals have ever had at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre (4103) It should be a bigger crowd for game 2 tonight though.

I so wish I could go but I am sick at home with the flu.  This sucks.

It's Merch Madness night tonight too.  Apparently there are lots of deals to be had at the team store starting at 6:00.

that's too bad, get well soon. they will have at least one more home game after tonight fortunately. I will probably be watching online, if not listening to most of it. Canucks game will make it tricky to catch both games.

Last night was a little disappointing, they didnt show up til the 2nd. Once they started hitting like in the first game, they turned it around. Kamloops had a lucky goal and the 5-3 power play that kind of made it hard to do a full turn around. It really killed the momentum. But the boys played strong with coming back twice. The OT goal was against the flow of the game, but good zone entry by the Blazers, you saw it coming. It's good to see the Royals PP finally clicking, it was horrible all season, but they've scored 3 PP goals in the 2 games.

As for the merch sale, it was all t shirts and hat's and such. I got a hoodie and a hat for $40. No jerseys though. I'll just stick with my PITR, Vets, and Cherry jerseys I got for this year lol.

The Royals are getting a lot of shots so far this series which is good news. It's been a battle of bounces so far though, I've noticed quite a few goals (for both teams) have come off some fortunate bounces.

It's a good battle for sure, the Blazers may have just squeaked in but they are on a roll. They're gritty and fast, so it'll be fun. It'll be interesting to see how the 2 games in Kamloops go. I'm excited for the game next Saturday. I hope it'll be to finish the series for the Royals.

I'm surprised the Giants lost tbh, I guess Seattle is going to give them a run too lol.

http://whl.ca/article/whl-announces-indefinite-suspension-for-royals-mcdonald

Anybody know what happened?

Edit:  Found it...

Quote

McDonald was on the bench, on the other side of dividing glass from Franklin, and swung his stick several times at the Blazers’ forward’s head, connecting once and following through to whack Kamloops trainer Colin (Toledo) Robinson, whose glasses were damaged on contact.

An incensed McDonald was escorted off the ice by officials while the arena whipped into a frenzy as fans, players, coaches, referees and media alike processed what was happening.

McDonald was issued a match penalty for intent to injure, which was accompanied by an automatic one-game suspension and five minutes in the sin bin that were served by Ty Yoder.
