League insiders say Bettman has been instructed by the owners not to go any further in negotiations with the players. I have two suggestions. 1) Igor Larionov 2) Peter Statsny Both are true international hockey players and executives who I think would put the benefit of the sport above all else, and have the ability and respect to make it happen. Posted November 17, 2012 Share Posted November 17, 2012 If I had a choice which we dont,neither do the players, its the Owners League Owner - I would probabily pick Bettman, why else would I have just given him a good raise before the lock-out?
