I didn't expect it to fill up tonight based on last night :(

Hopefully it's more fun for people tonight, last night was just alright, but for no charge, I had a good time.

Raymond, Schroeder and Kassian will be interesting, could be our actual 2nd line to open the season.

I don't know man, It'll be hard fought, but I'll have to disagree. I think the Canucks will take this one.

Vandermeer's playing wing? I understand AV needs to make the lines work for two teams, but did he play there last night?

Hahahah so the Canucks are using Vandermeer as a winger. TSN said he played wing, but I assumed he'd get reps at Defence here in Van.

Schroeder better have a heck of a game also. Ebbett has looked like the pretty decisive winner of 2nd line C, at this point
My 2014 Draft wishlist: 1st rd: Draisaitl, Virtanen, Scherbak. 2nd rd: Brendan Lemieux, Thatcher Demko (Goalie)

Future Canucks top 6:

I wish the length of the period was 15 mins! And Raymond Schroder kassasin could be a good second line........if develop chemistry.....can't believe Raymond is the vet on that line

One day some of us will look back on the year and look at the chicago, and most of us will realize that it was a small bump in the road to the cup

I wish they would do an entire team shootout or a few rounds of 5 shooters. The more practice in shootouts the better since it will be very crucial in this shortened season.

No, Connauton did, and now he's getting a look at D instead this time.

If this team lets go of Sang he will burn this team next year.

Weird. Gordon and Joslin's been waived according to TSN, and Corrado has been sent back and will play for Kitchener tomorrow night according to Spott.

Makes sense. I figured someone else would have, I just didn't recall seeing it on yesterday's line-up.

well i was listening to the TSN icechips of calgary and feaster said in order to have rosters set for tomorrow at 5eastern they had to waive and send players down today so i guess the canucks have done the same with their waiver eligible players.

I know this is trivial post and I apologize for it being so, but as good as the practice jerseys look (I like the greys), wouldn't it be a good thing to wear the official road and home jerseys for the two scrimmages? Wouldn't it give the perception that the scrimmages are more game-like for both the fans attending and for the players?

Mmm

well that sucks for those two guys. They already know they didn't make the team, but they play in the scrimmage anyways to keep the numbers even.

For Corrado, at least it is an experience builder.

They'd take 24 hours to clear anyway, so if case they didn't they could hold them here and then have them report tomorrow. Might as well play if that's the case. And Corrado's not official yet, but doesn't have to clear anything when it is, so he'll just head back to Kitchener.

Schroeder gets his crack between Kassian and Raymond! :towel:

Pretty clear the forward lines appear set except the battle between Ebbet and Schroed's!

I'm assuming they both stay on the roster sans any acquisition; daily game time decision as to whom plays???

Puck-drop is at 7:00 pm and it will be streamed on Canucks.com.

Didn't see the last game (was busy) so this will be my first look at the Schroeder/Ebbett situation, apparently Ebbett turned heads, so I'm looking for JS to come out and play well, play to his strength's, use his speed and work hard.

Should be entertaining, also looking forward to seeing Garrison, and Lu, Kevin Woodley said he made some tweeks and looks really good, should be an entertaining affair.

And Damn; was in Vancouver till last week wednesday for the first time in 4 years! Still, AWSOME move by teams that are having these public scrimmages!

Gotta say; the vids of the kids dancing at last nights scrimmage pumped me up.

The arena staff are all class by the way. I took my kids to the arena last tuesday because my daughter wanted to "touch" the arena. They told me tours were wednesday, but we were going to be on a plane back to Oz. But the receptionist could not resist my little girl hugging the arena in her Canucks jersey.

She had the security guard give us a personal tour. My younger daughter, who was born in Edmonchuck, converted to being a Canucks fan. She said there was no way the Oilers could be so nice.

Being a Canuck hockey fan is awsome

She slept with the Henrik doll we got her every night since! (The older one is more cautious with her Kesler; boy germs )
