disisdayear
Vancouver currently needs anyone who can take WIN some faceoffs.
Dogbyte
We don't need any more crap depth. Time to go for some actual skill.

Apples
We could use a guy like steckel. His one of the top faceoff players in the league
marleau_12
I don't know who that prospect is and I probably never will so why the canucks could not have made this deal and bring in some god damn depth is beyond me

elvis15
... Anaheim is what, 20-3-3? I believe I heard that they're third last in the league in faceoff percentage. Faceoffs don't tell that much of a story. ...
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Too bad. Great pickup for Anaheim. Canucks could have really used him at that price. I really hope MG can do better.
disisdayear
Classic CDC logic: 1) A player was traded 2) The Canucks did not acquire that player 3) Therefore, the Canucks did not attempt to acquire that player 4) WTF Gillis! The fact that Gillis didn't acquire Steckel doesn't mean he didn't try. There is an apparent rocky relationship between the Vancouver and Toronto front offices. Meanwhile, Toronto and Anaheim have a history of making trades. I bet Nonis would take a 7th round pick from Anaheim before he accepted a 6th round pick from the guy who took his job in Vancouver. elvis15
Maybe for some, but not for all on the CDC...it could very well be that many of us on the CDC like myself are musing, "hmmmmm, could very well have been a decent pickup for the Canucks..."...nothing more, nothing less. Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
I'd rather not waste a roster spot on Steckel. I'd rather make a significant move than a couple useless ones. Anaheim is what, 20-3-3? I believe I heard that they're third last in the league in faceoff percentage. Faceoffs don't tell that much of a story. Think bigger, folks. Stop pondering why MG isn't picking up any person that becomes available.

Special Ed
I'm just saying, with or without his faceoff ability, they're competing at an elite level (even with a low faceoff winning percentage).
Canucks_Hockey_101
Looks like Hodgson is doing better then Kesler so far. Just like I predicted
