Pretty good defensive depth down the middle and on the blue line for pretty cheap right there. As much as I loved what Raffi brought while he was here, I don't know about him. The Canucks should be all over him if he's available he's a 60% face-off guy this year(Canucks could use the help), playing over 18 mins per game, he hits(46) and has a good two way game. At 30 years old he fits our team He could play with Hansen and Raymond or Higgins and Kassian. Hansen and Raymond have played great together and they should stay together. Assuming the Canucks buyout Booth or Ballard over the summer, that barely covers Vermette's cost, and still leaves the Canucks in a very bad salary position next season. Vermette would be a great addition if he were a UFA, or if the salary cap weren't tumbling next year But how can he make any sense with his contract? Michalek is a really good defensive defenseman, similar though not as good as Hamhuis. He and Edler could be a great pairing, allowing Tanev to play on the bottem pair. Morris is a good defensive defenseman as well, though at this point he'd only be better than Ballard on our team. Gordon or Chipchura could be good 4th line options.
