Looks like we will play either LA or San Jose in the playoffs
(unless St. Louis loses to both the Flames and Blackhawks...unlikely).

LA vs San Jose in their last game of season, we will be playing the loser of that game....remember last year? LA lost to San Jose in OT in the last game of the season......

Silly how things work this way.....

By history repeating itself you mean like how a giant asteroid smashed into the earth and destroyed the dinosaurs, we are going to smash into the playoffs and destroy every team we meet. So in closing yes I agree.

If you like looking at statistics to determine who's better, you're just a casual fan.

2.41 season GAA isn't very impressive. Let's not get into playoffs and his SV%.

Cory Schneider is the next Patrick Roy.

There're still many scenarios to which team we'll end up playing against. But LA seems quite a possibility.

I think we can definitely beat the sharks. I still think we will beat the blues, but we will be banged up when we emerge.

The Kings can beat us. They have the fire power and experience. Id rather face the Ducks than the Kings. The Hawks and Kings are the only two clubs honestly capable of beating us.

Honestly it doesn't matter who we face in Round 1

Canucks in 5, you will see a very motivated group of Canucks come the 30th... even Come tomorrow
  • 0

No. The Canucks aren't even in the same realm as these other teams. They aren't even close to being good enough to make the playoffs. They'll be off by around 10 points.

Cool...just so long as we don't lose in the finals again. Or riot again. But the Lions can win the Grey Cup again. :)

au contraire mon ami

Too may people underestimating the Canucks this year.
3rd place with an injury stricken line up is nothing to scoff at!

Why did you bring back the Nordiques? Miss them so much...

The only team in the west that's probably comfortable with their first round matchup as things stand would be Anaheim.
I'd be willing to bet against Minnesota getting out of the first round, otherwise imo there's pretty much 7 teams who could realisitically have a shot at the Conference.
If Schneider, Bieksa and Tanev are healthy I like the Canucks chances as much as anyone's.

Hahaha, I was just thinking that a while ago as well. Wouldn't it be amazing if it came down to that again? Hopefully we get SJ or Minnesota. Heck, even LA, i'd love to see SJ lose though.

I think we have a better chance against the Kings than we did last year... last season, everyone was drained from the long playoff run, Daniel was hurt, Kesler was hurt, Pahlsson was unmotivated to play for us, Lappy turned into Yappy... basiclaly none of our lines was working out well for us.

This year... well I don't think I need to list, but we definitely seem to have a better chance of beating them than we did last year

http://letsgokings.c...cks-448774.html

interestingly, there are quite a few Kings fans that would much rather play Blues than us, above is the link, for those who are interested

I liked the 2010 LA Kings, Canucks rolled them in 6 games that season and Quick was a sieve

Beating the Kings in the first round would be satisfying as hell but I still would rather see a Minny match up.

For a second, I thought you were going to say that the Hawks will lose to Minnesota in the first round again.

It happened the last time they won the Presidents' Trophy.

Wild - Friday vs. Edmonton and Saturday vs. Colorado, both very winnable games. If Minnesota wins both, St. Louis wins one of their two, and San Jose loses to LA, then it would be LA vs. St Louis, Vancouver vs. Minnesota, and Anaheim vs. San Jose. This seems like a very likely scenario.

WOW! Dude , I never even though of that, I hope that happens! St.louis wants to win cuz they want home ice and they black hawks and hawks already got the pres. so they have nothing to play for, Kings I hope be SJ and if Minn wins two in a row , they arnt even guaranteed a spot yet we play Miss first round!!!
