CanucksJay
lol meh... True story. I broke my arm playing football but stayed in for 2 more plays until I realized it was swelling up... I think Aladeen is right. With the adrenaline going, 45 seconds isnt that crazy... although I'm thinking Fibula might be much more difficult than a broken arm... But the body comes down to whether it keeps going or gives out. Mentally, humans can play through anything. The fact that his leg or fibula didnt give out tells me what he did is definitely do-able
Boudrias
Heart? The guy couldn't even finish one game after a lil disc rubbed his leg. And his dad is a douche bag... Sorry, still no respect. F the inbred cheatin bruns...

hsedin33
Yup just like Horton had a life threatining concussion in 2011... Bruins are master spinners to make themselves look good. At best it was probably a hairline fracture and when adrenaline is going most people could have done that too. He is no legend other than having the son of Colin Campbell on your team improves your odds of winning considerably.
canuck73_3
Hey Django, how about you learn not to threaten people on a community board because you don't agree with what they post... try that see how that works for you. But if violence is the only way you know how to comminicate I am sorry that you had such a rough childhood.

fagin
Hate him with a passion, but that's pretty incredible! The reason I love Kesler so much is how he can play with broken bones. That takes a lot of heart!
fagin
Regardless, fighting through pain and an injury to not let your team down, does raise respect. Maybe something Marchand could learn about.
Salmonberries
He had no choice. He was obviously quite seriously injured yet the referees let play go on and made him gimp his way over to the bench after killing a penalty with a broken leg. It's a league that doesn't respect or care about it's players health and safety.

dura_mater
As much as we all hate the Bruins and their players, Gregory Campbell achieved legend status last night for his penalty kill. He blocked a shot, a shot which broke his fibula, and he continued to play for 45 more seconds before leaving the ice! This guy has one hell of a heart, hate him or not, he earned my respect. La Mauviette75
The fibula is a non-weightbearing bone. Meaning he should be able to stand on the leg without any increase in pain (as it does not take the weight of the body through it). It's mildly impressive but I think some of you are blowing this out of proportion.
