These 3 sources and 63 others report that the Canucks are considering to trade Cory Schnieder rather than Luongo.

Here's what the CBC wrote abot this issue:

It seems the Vancouver Canucks are still interested in dealing one of their goaltenders, but it may not be the one they've been trying to trade since the end of the 2011-12 season.

According to multiple media reports, Cory Schneider, not Roberto Luongo, may be made available for a trade with an NHL team interested in adding the netminder.

Schneider compiled a 17-9-4 record in his first season with the starting job in Vancouver and has two years remaining on a deal worth an annual cap hit of $4 million.

Schneider's deal, unlike the 12-year, $64M extension that the Canucks signed Luongo to in 2009, does not have no-trade or no-movement clauses attached to it.

The 27-year-old Schneider could be the easier goaltender to move as the length and terms of his contract are more appealing than the 34-year-old Luongo's.

However, Canucks general manager Mike Gillis told The Vancouver Sun this past week that dealing Luongo is still very much on the table.

"We're going to try and accomplish that goal," Gillis said. "We'll see what happens."

The Canucks had shopped Luongo during the 2013 season, but no deal was made before the trade deadline on April 3 when, at a press conference announcing that he had not been traded, Luongo said the words "my contract sucks."

That contract runs through the 2021-22 season, carries an annual cap hit of $5.3M, and affords Luongo a full no trade clause.

It looks like it may be Schnieder that might going up for sale.
