chrisbanks
maybe kesler will learn somthing from tonight....he was on the ice for all 3 goals... his first extremely lucky but he didnt touch the puck until it was on his stick infront of the net... higgins goal sedin and higs played give and go and higs goes to the net for the goal...keslers 2nd goal great passing play and offensive pressure robbery by mason on Higs lands on keslers stick for a goal........he never touched the puck until he was in a good postion to score on his 2 goals... and had a front row seat for 2 goals of how to look for an open man and keep pressure....... every other shift he had he did is same old take the pass from D never look to head man it ,dont pass , and just take a low % shot on net and get a whistle....maybe he will realize now utilizing your line mates and not take low % shots on net is the way to go. TheMohammadman
What's with people these days? Not meaning to offend or anything, but: CDC Season Summary So far: Prior to Season: "Kesler is a Dynamic two-way centre, that will easly score 35+ goals and win the Selke, without him we have no offence if we move him. After 1st 2 games: "Shut up doubters! ITS ONLY 2 GAMES! Kesler will find his groove." 4 games Later: "Trade Kesler! Trade him! He sucks! We NEED a Second line PLAYMAKER!" Now: "Kesler's a beast, shut up all you haters. WHAT a comeback game"

In the Slot
He was making deft passes throughout the game. A couple of nifty outlet passes out of the D zone and a couple of nice set ups. Sometimes he chasing the game a bit but that's OK because ost of the team was at times. What Jordan could really benefit from (and the team too) is a strong face off ability. If he can get that going he would be a very well rounded center with upside. EDIT Oh and he almost could have scored off a Hamhuis drop pass. Kid has a howitzer of a slap shot when he lets it go. In the Slot
Tanev signed on August 22nd - training camp opened on Sept 11... Unsigned free agent - good cap value, outstanding when he's playing 22 minutes and blocking everything in sight. Stanton is quietly becoming yet another serious bargain for Van. Waivers, 550k. Garrison - great value for the cap hit, no assets spent. Hamhius - ditto Edler - homegrown 3rd round pick Bieksa - homegrown 5th round pick Alberts 600k bargain UFA, formerly acquired for a 3rd Weber 650 k bargain UFA Corrado 5th round homegrown. total asset cost of the blueline - 2 x 3rd round pick, 2x 5th round pick. a whole lot of bang for your buck Gillis has done alright where the blueline is concerned. (and the two FA goaltenders... not so bad their either).

TheMohammadman
At the same time, I think other teams have gotten some fairly good puck luck in their wins against us.

CanucksSayEh
If splitting the twins, I think it would be better to keep Kes center and give him Danny on the wing. We are already hurting at center, Schroeder or Santo could be fine at #3, but definitely not permanent 2c.

DollarAndADream
Good game. Good win. Flyers have been a horrible team so far so let's see how the Canucks fare against some of the better east coasters.

Pears
Really liked Torts' decision to split the Twins for 5v5. If we can get a solid 2C and keep Kes with Henrik we're golden Higgins - Sedin - Kesler Sedin - Schroeder - Burrows (when healthy) Booth - Santorelli - Kassian Sestito - Richardson - Weise kesler - hodgson - higgins/booth would have been a great line nice MG nice
PhillipBlunt
The game started off on an uneasy note but finished well. Mason played beautifully and kept the Flyers in it. The Flyers did play like a desperate team, which can be hard to adapt to. The Canucks found a new gear through splitting up the Sedins. A hard won game to say the least. -Stammer-
The 2nd flyers goal was an obvious hand pass. If that was reviewable that wouldn't of counted
