First game back is always full of adrenaline. Where do you suggest he belongs? Sutter is the type of player who needs a playmaker. I'd like to see him on the wing with Bo and Baer. He's more of a sniper and doesn't have a playmaker on the 4th line.

Thats the thing...I dont really know...the center is kind of clogged up right now with Vey being called up... but Sutter is a smart player and  someone is going to have to play wing.

Maybe we could get the Elephant to play in the net.

Sorry but trying to say that the twins are the obvious problem that no wants to talk about, is just stupid. They are leading the team in points. They are consummate professionals who do things in the right way. They are the kind of players you want young future leaders to learn from. A team is made up of 23 players not two. Surround them with a solid young core and they will play a big role in this teams future.

Calgary Traded Iginla at 34 yrs of age.  Many felt Calgary kept him too long.

Jarome Iginla is a future Hall of Fame   player and  maybe the top flame of all-time.  Loved and ADORED by all Flames fans and was the face of their franchise much like Hank and Danny.

Coincidence or not  - IN HIS last YR with Calgary was making   7 Mil  just like H and D

No one is saying Hank and Dank are the problem.... One is 20th and the other 60th in scoring.

I think the point is that maybe Hank and Danny might be part of the SOLUTION>>>>

IGGY  was TRADED so the club got back value.  ITS A BUSINESS.

I have a lot of respect for both of them, and most of us would probably like to see them retire as Canucks.

That said, look at what happened in Calgary with iginla and Kiprusoff.

A late 1st pick for one, and nothing for the latter.

With their NMCs, it is highly doubtful that they will move anywhere until at least the end of 2017/2018, if ever.

So tell us! How many of those valuable pieces are playing a big role in the Flames success?

How about we keep the twins and just miss the playoffs. Trade Hammer, Vrbata and Miller.  Sign a couple of decent UFA's in the off season and go back at it next year.

If they are loyal to the Canucks they will accept a trade at the 2017 trade deadline.  Go win a Stanley Cup some where......    The canucks have paid them a small fortune over the years...  Hopefully they can help out the franchise and move at the deadline.  Resign as UFA's  here if they want to come back.

I like this approach.  Giving us hopefully someone decent for Sutter to play with.  Then we'd have 3 "real good" lines.

We might be in a playoff hunt in 2017.

Iginla was moved for a 1st  plus 2 prospects....

That would equate to 2 firsts and 4 Prospects for Hank and Danny together........ or split up.

Sounds like good value for our club for losing them for the last third of a season we are not qualifying for playoffs.

Since we could just bring them back the following year.......

Would they  agree to be split up for the last 30 games of the 2017 season  if they both had a shot at the CUP ? As a huge favour / payback to the Canucks.....

Any team would want both.  Instant second line depth.  The Twins are obviously great people but I don't see them splitting up.

Even if Baertschi and Horvat went on an absolute rampage for the rest of season and we're point per game guys, they still wouldn't knock the Sedins off the 1st line next year. The year after? Maybe. Sedins are the key between rebuilding and being competitive again in 2 years vs tearing it all down and being competitive again in 4 or 5. And truthfully, there's not really anyone who could take their 14 million of cap and surrender a minimum of 2 1st round picks to aquire. They're here to stay

I would love to see Vancouver Management play the Sedins till their final season and offer the chance to go somewhere else at deadline to win a cup. Let them choose the team and retain all the cap if needed.
They deserve to be treated well. They are the best players Van has ever had. Not only that but it would be viewed as a classy move. Vancouver takes care of their stars.
Good for signing new players.
