Unless I have the rule wrong.

I think it does have to be the hand which did cover the puck he just did so in a way you can't prove he did.

It was hard to see definitively but it looked like he shoved it under his leg. I thought that was enough for a penalty shot call.

You'd think so but inconsistent NHL rulings lead me to numbness now never know what the call is.
