However the opportunity arose to acquire a player we highly covet in Mikey DiPietro, we had to bounce. We are fortunately a young team and this will allow us to continue our focus on our rebuilding through the draft and player development. Although we may be a young team we feel confident that our young players can compete for a playoff spot. We look forward to a fun season ahead! Center Brandon Sutter was unfortunately waived due to this trade. We however plan to be active this season as we look to move out some of our more desirable assets at the TDL. If Sutter remains with the club we will happily retain salary on his contract if anyone is interested in acquiring him later in the season. We wish you all well!
