Boucher, Baer, Goldy, Bancks (?) and who else? Is there a rotation? and which goalies are they carrying? DiPietro, McIntyre. Any more? They can dress 6 vets as long as either (or both) Bailey or Goldobin are playing because you can dress one extra vet exempt player (between 260 and 320 games at the start of the season). Pretty much going with Boucher, Baertschi, Goldobin, Bailey, Camper and Bancks. Wacey Hamilton has primarily been the healthy vet scratch except a couple of games when Bancks was banged up. When Graovac is ready to return a second vet will need to be scratched. The Comets are carrying three goalies but Bachamn is the third goalie and is primarily there to mentor DiPietro and to dress if there is an injury or call up. McIntyre has played 5 games and DiPietro has played 3 games. I see both goalies splitting starts moving forward as both have been outstanding. McIntyre has a 1.78 GAA and 0.944 SV% while DiPietro has a 1.62 GAA and 0.940 SV%. 1

Wow. I have no new information or great insights. I just want to give a shout-out to the Comets great start. The Comets of course lead the AHL in winning percentage with a perfect 8 wins in 8 games so far. They also lead the AHL in goals scored AND is fewest goals allowed. So of course they have a big lead in goal differential. And many people, including me, take the goal differential stat as the best indicator of team quality. After all the heat Trent Cull took as coach last year this is a nice turnaround for him. But the best part is that a big part of the success comes from prospects -- or at least from guys who are likely to play on the Canucks at some point in the future. Lind has really turned things around, DiPietro looks great, Juolevi and Jasek are off to good starts, and some of the older prospects like Rafferty (who leads the AHL in plus/minus) and Peron look good. Baertschi and Goldy are a big of the story of course. They are no longer propsects but they could both help the Canucks before this year is over, especially Baertschi. Career AHLers (like Boucher) are only a small part of the story this year. So congrats to the Comets for a great start. Hope they can keep it going.
