  1. Likewise. I don’t understand the debate. The guy was #9 in league scoring. Still 29 despite the posters that peg him as 30 (that doesn’t happen till next Spring). Happy to have him.
  2. A team can be considered good, but not a contender. Please read my post just a few above from the hockey writers that year. The contenders they considered were Nashville and Winnipeg. I have no wish to converse further, let’s agree to disagree.
  3. Yes they were a good team that had a horrendous start. But the point was no one considered them contenders. Anyone can win tho and they proved that.
  4. Still weren’t considered contenders. that’s the point.
  5. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nhl/list/nhl-picks-predictions-2018-19-stanley-cup-odds-eastern-western-conference-standings/11qhtzx5s6kbx1rsxt3zfuyrra Central Division 1. Winnipeg Jets (111.6 points)* 2. Nashville Predators (111.3 points)* 3. St. Louis Blues (95.6 points)* 4. Dallas Stars (95.3 points)* 5. Minnesota Wild (93.6 points)* 6. Colorado Avalanche (89.6 points) 7. Chicago Blackhawks (84.3 points) Inside the Central Division, home to two giants among Stanley Cup contenders, there's a degree of certainty heading into 2017-18. A vast majority of observers are sure this is where the NHL's best team resides. Whether that's the Predators or Jets is open to debate, but the preseason confidence that the road to the Stanley Cup in the West runs through Nashville or Winnipeg has been unwavering. It's interesting, though, that the last two Central champions missed the playoffs entirely the following season. The Predators aren't predicted to suffer a similar fate, but neither were the 2016-17 Dallas Stars or 2017-18 Chicago Blackhawks. From first to last, there isn't a more unpredictable division in hockey right now. The Blues, Stars and Wild are all waiting in the wings and could emerge as worthy challengers at the top. The Avalanche stunned with a last-place-to-playoff run last year and are on the rise. The Blackhawks, while aging and imperfect, are the only team in the division that has won a Cup this millennium. That's all to say nothing is given; it's just life in hockey's most unforgiving division.
  6. Agreed. No one expected them to be in the final. Crazy things happen.
  7. I agree. Much more than a dancing cow… just sayin…. by the way, have mentioned how much I love that dancin cow… just sayin…. Again….
  8. Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols……
  9. Wow. Obviously Linden and Bure. Linden almost won us the cup in game 7…. Scored the only 2 goals and Bure, well no need to explain. Can you imagine?
  10. You are an old dude like me. Saw Chilliwack at Peachfest, I think? Great Big Sea was good for 5 minutes.
