  1. The Bombers looked lost the whole game against Edmonton's offence. They were running around while Edmonton couldn't execute. Reilly throws short passes that get his completion % up. Lulay throws the ball better, runs better, and he is pretty darn clutch.
  2. Tiger makes the cut! Upsetting to see him play so bad though, a couple tweaks in his game like his driving and he'll get another major or two. He's the best ever.

  3. Edmonton's offensive is horrible, Edmonton has a solid defence if they get their offence going they'll be a cup contender. I think Reilly needs to touched for him to be down since he didn't land on his knee or elbows? I think that's what it is.
  4. Winnipeg's defence is so bad.
  5. Winnipeg still sucks, I don't know how they are 3-0.

He shouldn't. He has the potential to be more than just a 4th line player, he can be a good 2nd line player. He should play top 6 minutes in Utica and slowly translate to a top 9 NHL player. More ice-time equals a better chance at becoming a better player, 4th line minutes will get him to adapt to a 4th liner. We don't want that, we want him to adapt to a top 9 player atleast.
  7. I think they should trade both of those guys for futures. They aren't in a position to compete with Portland, Kelowna, Edmonton but they did finish 4th in points in the WHL so maybe they'll push for a Memorial Cup. Virtanen will have a good year next year maybe they surround him with good players and push for a cup.
  8. Well he's a guard not a tackle. I think maybe someone from the practice roster, Jarien Moreland is an offensive tackle.
  9. Farhan Lalji ‏@FarhanLaljiTSN 1m #BCLions are releasing OT Ryan Cave. #Shocker #CFL Who'll replace him? We got Olafioye, Valli, Norman, Fabien as our 4 starters. Cave and Olafioye were our only tackles so maybe a guard moves over?
  10. Definitely. 2 1st round picks in the last 2 drafts can boost the quality of your prospect pool up really high. If we can move some guys for another 1st, then we'd be set up for the future, make a splash in the FA and see where we are in 4-5 years.
  11. I understand what we got, I support the pick. Virtanen is a player we don't have in our system and he has good dimensions to his game. If you're talking about the all access video I think he was talking about how he gets hard to the forecheck not winning puck battles.... If that's the video your referring to. I guess I'm making my self look like a Virtanen hater, I'm not. I'm behind this guy and I can 100% understand why Benning chose Virtanen. He's different, we don't have a similar player like Virtanen on our team, he's fast, he hits, he has one of the best shots in the CHL, he goes to the net. He's a fast, physical player. I would like to see him work on his boardplay, looking up when he has the puck. That's my concern of his game, if he can improve that he'll be a hell of a player.
  12. Then what gives him the right to say Ehlers is one dimensional? He just craps all over Europeans like Ehlers and Nylander but I doubt he's seen them play more than once.
  13. I disagreed with Ehlers being one dimensional which he is not, Ehlers didn't pay me 100$ to defend him but atleast be truthful if you're going to make such a statement. The western team's prospect pool are not made up of physical players, fact?
  14. Canada will run away with the #1 hockey nation in the world crown in 2016/2018. Guys like MacKinnon, McDavid, Hall, Seguin, Stamkos (not playing in Sochi), Ekblad. No one will be able to match the level Canada is going at.

2016 is too early for McDavid, Ekblad, and probably even MacKinnon. Remember how old Hall and Seguin are and they weren't really even close to cracking the roster in 2014, so 2018 is probably too early for Ekblad and McDavid again. Good problem to have though. As always Canada will be the team to beat.

I don't think 2016 will be too early for him, he'll be PPG by then IMO.

  15. Mitch Moroz projects to be a 4th liner. Every team has hitters. If you want to talk about just plain 4th line hitters which every team has, I can name you many. But those don't matter because they're hardly NHL hockey players and won't be able to match up to Ehlers in terms of skill level. LA is known for their physicality but it isn't one player doing all the hitting it's everyone of their players finishing their checks. No team has a team full of players in their system that hit, though they might be acquired through FA or trades. None of these prospects pools show any of sign of them being a physical powerhouse. No team what so ever, 1-2 players isn't a team full of them. 1-2 players won't be able to get it done. You could only name me one player that was physical, so what? This division isn't even close to being physical if you look at the prospect pool, pick out 1 guy out of each team and that's your point? Pretty pathetic if you ask me. The top prospects are skill first players, the projected bottom 6 ones are physical. Ehlers will skate around bottom 6 players all day and you probably think Ehlers is a small, soft European even though I highly doubt you've ever seen him. You're basing your opinions off scouting reports, how can I take what you say about Ehlers seriously?
  16. Not dynamic enough and 1 dimensional in the offensive zone. I'm not looking at points, I'm talking about when I've seen him play many times. He doesn't play well enough in the offensive zone in different situations. He plays the rush in and shoot or the rush into the zone and force it to the net. I don't see him play well enough in the dirty areas, digging corners, cycle, behind the net, below the hashmarks. That's what I mean by one dimensional offensively, I don't see him having enough space like that in the NHL. He doesn't play below the hashmarks, behind the net aswell as I want to. He has a shot, speed, goes to the net but he needs to be more dynamic than that in the offensive zone, he's not very good in tight areas and doesn't have the hands I want him to have. How many times have you seen him play and seen him play well behind the net and tight areas? I've watched him many times, he doesn't dig corners enough and go to the dirty areas. Again, our division in the future will not be big. Look at other team's prospect pool. Nash is 216 but does he play big? No. None of those players you mentioned play big, they aren't comparable to the big physical guys in the NHL today. Who knows a late bloomer might become a big physical mean hitting machine but all I know is that the players I know are not going to be the face of a big physical team. 1 big player averagely on 1 team in the western conference doesn't make the whole conference a big physical team. How am I wrong? Weight = a big physical player? You named 3 players and told me sorry I'm wrong? The future isn't big in the west. Tuch, Ritchie, is all the good prospects I have found on the west teams that are big, physical players. You're wrong. Look at every team's prospect pool and then tell me I'm wrong.
  17. Look at the teams in the west and their prospects. Toffoli, Pearson, Hertl, Tervaianen, Schmaltz, Faksa, Granlund, Gaudreau, Baertschi, Haula, Forsberg, Kamanev, Rattie, Jaskin, Barbashev, Rakell, W.Karlsson. Do these prospects sound like physical players? The big west teams chose skill first players in recent drafts, it's changing in the system and we picked the wrong guy for our division. That's why I said Virtanen needs to raise his skill level higher or maybe we draft some studs with high level of skill and physicality. If Virtanen becomes more dynamic, he will be the one of the most coveted players in the NHL because of everything he can do. Ehlers will do better because of the 18/19/20/21/22 year old players in other teams system. They will be the future of the west not Dustin Brown, Brent Burns or any of the big physical players in the west.
  18. Are you going to assume he gains no weight over the offseason, over the next year in Junior, and possibly over another year of junior? He'll have a better chance reaching his potential because he a really good player. He's not soft, he's not weak, so the West won't scare him one bit and his skill level is already NHL calibre. He's only getting better, he's going to get bigger, stronger and he plays fearless. Ehlers has alot of dimensions to his game rather than just skill. Virtanen on the other hand is less dimensional, he has speed, he can hit hard, he can shoot but the way he plays he either has to lift his skill level up or find different ways to be effective because he isn't a below the circles player. He plays high in the offensive zone and uses speed to get around defencemans, he won't always be able to skate around defencemans at the NHL level. Virtanen's potential isn't a 3rd line banging checker, that's his floor. His ceiling is a top 6 PWF, that'll be harder to reach with his skill level, he has to be more dynamic and unpredictable if he wants to reach his ceiling. Also, the West in 3-4 years can become a more skill first division, who knows but eventually it will change. Ehlers can do alot more things offensively, he's more dynamic and that's why he'll fit in.
  19. I'm sorry but you are completely wrong. 5'11-6 feet is not undersized, and Ehlers doesn't have 1 dimension to his game, he actually has more. But yeah, Virtanen should be able to get into the NHL but he'll have a less chance than Ehlers at reaching his full potential.
  20. Horvat and Virtanen will make the team if they're both in junior but McCann will be close. I think McCann will play on the 4th line if he does.
  21. Demko was the only 17/18 year old to play in the NCAA just past season. Jack Eichel is going to do the same, basically a player in his draft year playing in the NCAA. That is quite impressive.
  22. He panics way too much when he gets under pressure and either runs back or just throws it with his head down.
  23. We could definitely work on our passing though, seemed like we tried not to show the weakness with all the running plays.
