  1. Like I said in another thread, I would have preferred Gardiner or even Trevor Van Riemsdyk. That being said, it's a reasonable contract, for a reasonable term, and Myers is a huge upgrade to our D-core, sadly.
  2. I'd really like to see Pettersson Miller Boeser Baertschi Horvat Pearson
  3. I actually preferred Goldobin-Pettersson-Boeser over any other 1st line last season. Who cares if Goldobins success was not all his own. That line was successful.

  5. He had 2 shut-outs and a 2-1W win in the finals. The boys in front of him couldn't get it done. Not only did he have to be perfect in net, but he basically had to skate the puck down the ice and put it in himself.
  6. Man, I agree with what you're saying, and you sparked a lightbulb in my head with how the recapture works, but MAN. Quit with the poem thing, it's not idiosyncrasy that people are going to react well to.
  7. I don't want the Canucks to sign Myers, at all, but why would I crap on him while he's here? He's still a good NHL defensemen, and I want the Canucks to succeed so of course I'd want him to succeed... He's just not worth 6M per
  8. Neither had I, I was just giving an educated guess. I'd personally prefer Miller over Killorn or Johnson if I were Tampas GM.
  9. Yea, while I agree Millers price was steep comparatively, I think it's because Tampa wanted to keep J.T Miller over Johnson or Killorn. That's something people forget.

  11. What I would like to see. Pettersson Miller Boeser Baertschi Horvat Pearson Goldobin Gaudette Virtanen Leivo Beagle Roussel Edler Gardiner Hughes Tanev Juolevi Stecher I also dont hate the idea of Gaudette killing it in the AHL
  12. Man, the Canucks need to make a push for Gardiner, not Myers... Please, he's just so much better for 1M more. Better Corsi, Fenwick, Assists, Goals, Power play points, etc... H
  13. Often injured 30 point D-man. 5.5x5 No more, I don't care what side he shoots.
  14. Can we just create one thread. Rumour: "Jim Benning needs to ice an NHL team this season or he's fired, interested in everything"
  15. Please explain your rationale behind this statement.
  16. That would be the first real top 6 we've had since 2010-2011. It's painful to think that we've really only had 3-4 top 6 players in the last 7-8 years.
  17. Panarin Pettersson Boeser Miller Horvat Pearson Leivo Gaudette Virtanen Motte Beagle Roussel A man can dream
  18. JT Miller is going to out point everyone on this team not named Boeser, Horvat, or Pettersson. This is a trade that a team that needs immediate help on the wing makes. Behind J.T Miller we have Baertschi and Eriksson on the left wing now. You're saying that we are one injury away from missing the playoffs, well this is part of the solution to that. We will always be one injury away if we don't acquire depth. Your entire argument is an oxy-moron.
  19. You sound like Eeyore. Podkolzin was an absolute snag at 10th. Look what he did to kids his age... Just wait until this kid becomes a man, his tenacity is incredible. I've never seen a player like him before, and when you can say that in a positive way, you know you have something special. There is no comparable for the way he plays, he is unique. a lion on the ice. His highlights are just so exciting to watch, if he was doing this in the OHL, he would have been a top 3 pick. While he possibly missed at 5 and 6 with Juolevi and Virtanen, they aren't bad picks. Jim hasn't really drafted a bust big, and definitely has more gems than bad picks. You say Virt, I say Boeser. You say Juolevii, I say Gaudette. He also drafted Demko. You just compared Eriksson and Miller, which further proves you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to NHL players, or prospects.
  20. The likely hood of that happening is fairly low. The Canucks have a young team that was being carried hard by 3 players. Adding a guy like Miller, another UFA winger, and a guy like Gardiner is going to change the way this team looks on the ice. The Canucks are finally adding points to this team, surrounding the core with a supporting cast.
