  1. @UticaHockey, thanks. The reason I was asking, is because well, as Kanukfanatic said above, Motte has taken his spot. Injuries though, might get him back up, but it's not going to be a simple roster move that does. Having said that, he might be a better option than Schaller. I really haven't seen anything in his game, that speaks, "I'm playing my way onto this team starting now".
  2. If you're saying his speed is better than the AHL, do you think he's now an NHL skater? He seemed to know where he wanted to be, but couldn't quite get there when he got ice time with the Canucks. I like him as a player too, pretty smart when he doesn't have the puck, and decent on the wall. That's one spot the Canuck forwards are more than a little less than average, playing on the wall. How does McEwan fare on the boards?
  3. He played in the young Canuck tournament against the Jets young players if I'm not mistaken. He raised more than a few eyebrows.
  4. That is not the hockey the Canucks are playing, AT ALL. This team has become more of a rush offense than the AV days IMO.
  5. I disagree, Horvat is looking dead tired on the ice, and that's with Beagle back in the lineup. He's still taking the majority of the faceoffs, in the defensive zone, as well as the offensive zone. Give Sutter some game time, if I'm not mistaken, he won the majority of the f/o's in the period and a half that I watched. He's played TWO games, and you folks want a 100 point player.....
  6. As all of us have said, this schedule has been brutal. This is the third?, road trip East, to play 6 games, usually a back to back, and an afternoon game mixed in. When the other teams catch up with games played, we'll have a good idea as to where they are trending, playoffs, bubble, or completely out of it.
  7. ..and Markstrom, if this team is going anywhere, I trust him more than Demko at this point of their careers.
  8. Thankfully Sutter and Beagle are both healthy, Bo looks beat. He's played a ton of hockey in the last two and a half months, the dog days of winter. Hopefully the schedule will get him back on target. Just shows you, he's having a personal best year again. Just give him the "C", and get this thing going.
  9. That's why I like Leivo on EP's wing
  10. Not to many teams have FOUR centers like the Canucks. What a huge difference Beagle has made to this team, with Sutter coming back, and barring injuries this team could move up the standings into the playoffs.
  11. Mini Harper, Scheer, had his former protege (Harper) tell him that he was spreading misinformation.
  12. Like many in my own family, sadly! They're taking all our jobs, is heard a lot as well.
  13. Growing up, all I knew was work. I live in BC.
  14. Have they recovered any of that tanker spill off the coast of NFLD? Haven't heard a word about it at all.
  15. He's part of the problem, and I think one of the reasons why this team flounders like it does. Thankfully, and hopefully the South American experiment is over. When the League is critical of VWFC and their spending habits, that's all on ownership and management. Right now, they can do diddly squat about the turf and the stadium.
  16. Any coincidence? Demko back in the net, Comets start winning. Ooops, wrong thread, should be in the Utica thread, sorry.
  17. I was too lazy to look that stuff up, but, very impressive indeed. In between two injuries, one being considered "major", and to be able to put up those numbers. I like how he is trending.
  18. This will make the Utica fans happy. An ECHL player getting out of town. (sarcasm)
  19. You have proof of his character? He just might have his reasons for being happy to get out of this debacle. I'm waiting to see, just how much this management team puts back into high calibre players when the dust is settled. If NOT, the sooner that Lenarduzzi is gone, the better. They must think the fans of this city are blind to see what's going on.
  20. In my opinion, he hasn't figured out the 200 foot game. Maybe that's not in his makeup, but, to stick around and gain the coaches and players trust, I believe he has to show far more when he doesn't have the puck. I see Jake out on the ice more than Goldobin when the game is on the line, as well, Jake has played all four lines so far on this team. Would you put Goldobin on the ice with less than a minute to go, when the Canucks are up a goal? Green wouldn't. As I've said before, points aren't the be all to end all.
  21. Patience???? Goldobin is in his fourth season, that smiley face isn't going to keep him in the NHL for long, once Dahlen, McKewen, Baertchi, and Sutter are ready to go. Gaudette is here to stay, as well. He can't play bottom 6, like Jake can either. I think management has some decisions to make with Goldy, and Schaller once everyone is up to speed.
  22. I too, said this as well. Does Benning have the will to waive him?
