Usually after the back up steals his job ,the coach demoralizes him, he gets traded away , and we realize he actually was a good goalie. Only then will he get respect.

They are too thin and not good enough. They have Hitchcock and McDavid though, they can pretend their way through the season and maybe be a 1st round sweep for a good team if they hold on to a playoff spot . The Canucks have more depth.

I hope Benning is already planning his protection list . Maybe it’s better Joulevi isn’t called up this year if it means he’s not eligible to be picked.

Every game Delzotto has a great glimmer of offensive talent when he rushes the puck. I wonder if he’s ever played left wing , he might make a better forward than a defenceman. Hell even Biega played forward a couple times and wasn’t terrible.

He always draws penalties, either it’s because he’s fast or he’s good at diving. Needs to score more than Granlund though.

Florida is such a different team when he plays , I think he’s still their best player.

Being a contact year for a 32 year old defenceman coming off injury , Edler needs to play the best hockey of his career in the next 3-1/2 months. Otherwise Brian Burke might have to travel to Vancouver and rent a car . I would wait til the trade dead line to extend Edler. I want him to stay a Canuck for a couple more years , but you never know what someone else thinks he’s worth in the right situation.

My vote for best example of team toughness this season is Ryan Miller jumping in to save Stetcher in Toronto. Being the goalie, that doesn't say a lot about the rest of the orca jerseys out there, save Gudbranson. Special mention to Labate in SanJose for his first fight and Tryamkin for the biggest hits during this season. Steep drop off after that , maybe throw in Biega and Pizza for their grit . thats about it. Makes me wonder , Prust for Kassian and a 4th or 5th was it ?

If Burrows pulls together a "vintage Burrows" playoff run with another team he will insure he gets a multi year deal , which, at his age is all he wants for retirement. He gave us a glimpse in that Buffalo game when the Montreal scouts were in the building of " vintage Burrows"

Burrows has been rumoured to actually research opponents prior to games to better insult them personally ie; wife names , family circumstances, previous wrongdoings etc. He was once one of the best agitators in the game. Does that make a good roll model? That said, I don't know what happened but he has lost that edge, maybe he has matured. Pisses people off about as often as he scores, which used to be a lot . Not so much of either anymore .
