  1. Looking at Button's List, he has Miroschnichenko at #15 (VAN). Does JR/PA roll the dice and take Miro at #15? I would be very surprised.
  2. Looks like a cross check to the back of Tanev's head when he was down. Really dirty play, but nice goal.
  3. Zadorov launched himself at Glendening, wow, what a terrible hit. He never even saw it coming. Dirty, dirty, dirty. If Myers did that they'd kick him out of the league. Well, all I gotta say is keep your head up in Game 7 little johnny - or don't.
  4. Looks like I missed some amazing stuff in this game (wasn't able to watch). On to Dallas for Game 7. I would feel such joy if the Flames lose that game, watching Darryl Sutter's head explode. Juist wonderful.
  5. Feeling some doubt about Kuzmenko. It's a Canuck thing. Vancouver isn't very lucky when it comes to star players choosing here to play. Looking at other teams he may go to, like CAR and EDM, they're both way ahead of the Canucks in the cycle and playoff contenders. Canucks can't even get into the postseason. I sure hope JR and Boudreau had a great effect on him, but I have some doubt he picks VAN.
  6. Some must think Miller is God's gift or something. He's a good veteran player, but that's it. Dobson and Barzal are young stars with a lot of NHL future ahead of them. Why would the Islanders do this? I could possibly see a trade with Miller and Barzal, but no way NYI trade Dobson.
  7. Don't think VAN is getting Fiala. JR/PA really like Boeser and I think they're going to qualify him. I believe they're also going to re-sign Miller. Bruce is coming back, the band is getting back together, they need their lead singer! - JT Miller re-signs for less than expected. Garland, Pearson and Myers are traded. Kuzmenko signs UFAs - (LW) Mikheyev Draft Yurov or Mintyukov
  8. Smart move by management, but this was also Bruce's decision and I'm so glad he decided to return. There is unfinished business in VAN. I imagine the players are thrilled as well, and maybe, possibly, perhaps a new guy by the name of Kuzmenko? A full season of Bruce should get the boys fired up and by training camp, they'll all be ready to earn a spot. Pettersson needs to come to camp ready, and be ready to start producing in Game 1. Maybe once management sees a full season of Boudreau, and they get into the playoffs, they may consider re-signing him longer.
  9. I agree, but maybe he is a part of the team moving forward? They did include him in the Kuzmenko interview, and that might seal the deal on him coming to VAN, if Bruce is the coach. Benning would've bent over backwards (and forwards) for a coach like Boudreau. Given him whatever he wanted, but JR/PA seem to be playing some real hard ball. I imagine they're not easy to negotiate with and have a "my way or the highway" attitude. Hopefully Boudreau stays on, and they re-sign him after a successful 2022/23 season. If they're unreasonable and Bruce leaves, this fan base and the players will not be happy, and it could be another rough ride of a season.
  10. Ship has sailed. VAN would have to add, and MIN doesn't want to take on a big salary. I think Fiala could be going to NJ. Then they draft Slafkovsky. Oh boy, Devils are going to be good.
  11. I'm not sure. Just thinking though, Brad Shaw wasn't Boudreau's guy, so he might not care as much. Maybe they want to replace Walker? Bruce would not like that. If Shaw is let go, I wonder if they'll hire Phil Housley as the D coach. Should be an interesting off season, everyone's job in question, everyone (except for Petey, Hughes and Demko) on the trade block, basically.
  12. I wonder if one of the conditions with Boudreau coming back, is that JR wants to replace Brad Shaw? They did comment on the D structure and how it's one of the worst in the league. New D coach next year? Special teams were bad too, so who knows if King and Walker will be back too.
  13. Not. Good. Enough. No point looking for excuses, or blaming Green again, or Benning. Watching the playoffs, it's apparent the Canucks would've gotten crushed in Round 1 with their D.
  14. Well, only one team can win it all, and if I had to pick one Canadian team I'd like to do it (CGY, EDM or TOR) - I just can't. Weird, been cheering for Dallas, Los Angeles and Tampa lately.
  15. Damn, Bolts need to come back and win, or else TOR media and fans will act like they just won the Cup.
  16. Canucks need D, doesn't matter if it's left or right. my list: 1. Nemec 2. Jiricek 3. Mintyukov 4. Korchinski 5. Pickering 6. Odelius Don't want Mateychuk or Casey = too small
  17. Some young prospects are so blinded and enamored with the idea of playing on McDavid's team, maybe thinking it gives them better odds of winning a Cup or something, because McDavid's won so many Cups. The smart kids will choose a team they have the most opportunity to play, with a team that's on the rise, and having some real good young stars as team mates. If McDavid ever gets traded out of EDM, no one will ever want to play there.
  18. That'd be cool, I dunno. It doesn't seem that outside of the Top 10, there are many players that make me go "wow". I have a feeling that Yurov and Lambert will drop, but I sure wouldn't mind if Connor Geekie fell to the Canucks, but doubt he will. WPG picks right before VAN, so they might want to take him - seeing as he already plays for the WPG Ice (WHL). I don't think they let him slip by. Maybe Korchinski and Mateychuk become #1-3 Dmen someday?
  19. Maybe, but I also think some teams could take chances on Miroschichenko , Luneau, Lamoureaux, Ostlund, etc. (RD) Sam Rinzel might be another option.
  20. Trade the #15 to ARI for Crouse and the the #30. Draft a D - Pickering, Bichsel, Odelius or Chesley
  21. I don't know if it's terrible drafting or not, but Canucks could sure use Slavin and Pesce right about now This is a new management team, consisting of some very smart hockey people, scouting, analytics. I trust they'll make the right moves for the betterment of the team. I could care less if they trade Miller, if it improves the Canucks long term and makes them a contender. I look back when we recently had Benning and Desjardins, then Green. The Canucks are in much better hands these days.
