It's a Russian-English dictionary..... he's drawing up his next play

I wouldn't be surprised to see Utica moved to Victoria (or Kelowna or Kamloops) for one season, and Bakersfield and Stockton moved to Red Deer and Medicine Hat (or Saskatoon and Regina), if fans are expected in limited numbers in the spring, but cross-border travel/quarantine remains an issue. Or else, if TV audiences only, to Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary to keep costs manageable.

Indeed - after a win, Horvat has bumped helmets with Markstrom a lot harder than that!!

I had a YouTube recommended video pop up and didn't know where to put it - this seemed as good a place as any ..... Henrik & Danny passing skills:

I dont disagree with you. - but I hope it turns out to be the wrong outcome But there is a reason that MacEwen, Bailey and Graovac were added to the Edmonton bubble - size and speed. Jasek is same height and weight as Lind, but a year older, and concensus has Lind ranked higher in the prospect depth chart. But the Canucks have too many similar players, and not enough room for them all in the big club, so much as I like him, but I think a few "looksee" games is likely all that Vancouver will get out of him
-
Its quality, though, not quantity. Tied with Boucher for most shorthanded goals 3rd behind Boucher and Bailey for game winning goals (Utica won just 4 games in overtime, Bailey and Lind with 1 OT goal apiece, Jasek with 2) AHL doesn't publish faceoff stats, but around Feb 15th the Utica play by play announcer said that Jasek was about 55% FOW with over 60% being d-zone draws He'll become an NHL regular, hopefully with us. His attention to detail, and work ethic endears him to coaches and fans alike. He, Lind and Bailey were often The Comets best line, and look for them to get a shot together at some point with the big team.

To devil's advocate, it could be that the author is spot on and Podz is not the reincarnation of Bertuzzi, but rather is just Sandlak reborn. But I prefer the Professor's opinion - Podz is the second coming of "he who shall not be named"
-
But Bure retired in 2003, 17 years ago, so fanfor42's "last 15 years" still holds true

Any update on his status?

Good perspective in Canucks Army write-up... https://canucksarmy.com/2020/11/19/nils-hoglander-nhl-ready-soon-upcoming-season/
-
Not so sure. He frees up $3.5, but we are already over by $1.5, so there is net room of just $2 million. Hogz' ELC is $890, and Podz would be the same, so some other juggling (waivers, etc) would be needed to sign Tram. I dont know, but am assuming, that the cap hit isn't prorated for those late signings.

Although it has resurfaced ..... https://www.yardbarker.com/nhl/articles/ahl_considering_all_canadian_division_for_upcoming_season/s1_14825_33314444 Edit: I see the same date, same quote, so maybe nothing new at all
-
But don't be surprised if Utica, Bakersfield and Stockton relocate to Abbotsford, Red Deer and Medicine Hat just for this season (or even to their home cities of Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary) for a Canadian AHL Division. So call-ups would be simple.

Good write-up in "The DailyHive" ..... https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks-prospects-podkolzin-hoglander-points

As Lord (King?) Stannis would say .... Two or fewer Four or fewer
-
Hogz has an out clause with the Swedish team he is loaned to that releases him at start of training camp. He plans to be in the Canucks lineup all season. His full, already signed, ELC would then count against the cap
