Don't know if this appeared in the signings thread, but worth a repost if it did. Great read ... https://www.dkpittsburghsports.com/2021/05/20/pittsburgh-penguins-teddy-blueger-sidney-crosby-2021-stanley-cup-playoffs-tmr

Seems he is going to keep #53. Good thing we didn't retire Bo's jersey.

Also during these 4 seasons played 23 games for their AHL team, and 17 in the Czech league. Hard to be in 2 places at once. But yes, has dealt with injuries and scratches

Googlie replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
At least we'll start the season unbeaten, and in the playoff hunt . ... there's that -
NHL would need a new penalty ..... "kneeing to the head"

[Signing] Canucks re-sign Noah Juulsen
Googlie replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
This, from March 23, just after NJ's injury ..... Juulsen's injury surely comes at a difficult time for the Canucks since, as pointed out by Tocchet, he's Quinn Hughes' preferred pair-up guy. On the other hand, Adam Foote may have no other choice than to match Filip Hronek to Quinn Hughes when the team plays the Stars in Dallas on Saturday. -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign Noah Juulsen
Googlie replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
So you must know something that Tocchet and even Hughes himself don't know ..... please share Tocchet has said he liked the pairing for the handful of games they played last season and Hughes has said that Noah makes an ideal partner, their skills complement each other -
Myers and Garland for Karlsson?

We have 3 depth guys in their prime with some NHL experience.. (all 6'2" and all drafted in 2015) Wolanin, 28, has played 86 games (drafted by Ottawa in 4th round) Juulsen, 26, has played 68 games (drafted by Montreal in 1st round) Brisebois, 25, has appeared in 27 games (drafted by Canucks in 3rd round)

Exactly. 3 inches shorter and 1 lb lighter than Petey seems pretty stocky to me

Is our prospects' development camp next week in Vancouver or Abbotsford?
-
Wow. - round 3 already!! (If you dropped your head to read a post here during round 2 you missed 3 picks !!!)
-
What's the over/under on PA picking another Swede next pick?
-
Smallish guy ... not much heidt to him
-
Missed Brisebois. - he has a good chance of being a 7/8 guy on the big team this year
-
Hoglander
-
79 other potentials also named David were halfway out of their seats
-
Naw. - Tocchet's going to pair him with Wolanin just to mess with Shorty
-
Hear hear !! To this oldtimer, he skates like Hedican, hits like Pronger
-
I've followed him ever since we acquired him (he is my avatar after all) and his development this last season here has been impressive. He was never considered a physical force in Sweden but has shown that side of his game in Abby (2nd in penalty minutes to Jett Woo, many of them retaliatory ... as they say in my home country "he doesn't take any guff") Instead of searching for a 3rd line center, we could do a lot worse than bringing up the Swedish House Mafia as an entire 3rd line!!

“An extremely smart and competitive player,” said Abbotsford general manager Ryan Johnson. “He kills penalties, plays on the power play and is on the last minute of the game — whether we're up or down a goal.”May 29, 2023
