After signing six free agents last summer, could we/should sign the same amount again this summer? We certainly have the cap space to do so. I’m thinking 3-4 roster players and 2 players for Utica.

Benning compared Wahlstrom to Brock Boeser play style wise. I really truely think Wahlstrom is the safest and best pick for the Canucks. He has NHL size,skating, and shot already. I haven't seen an obvious weakness in his game anybody has mentioned out there. If he checks out personality wise he fits perfect on this team. He should be NHL ready after 2 seasons fine tuning and working on the small details of his game.

Honestly, it’s unacceptable that Canada lost to Finland 5 - 1. Coaching isn’t good enough. Canada needs to start forcing its athletes to play. They go to the worlds only if they want too. I find that extremely frustrating. I totally understand  not going when injured or recovering, but... 

Where is Dubnyk or Crawford? Toews, Duchene, Seguin, Benn, Mackinnon, Marner? Doughty, Burns, Subban, Dumba, Spurgeon?

As far as I know, none of these guys are injured, and are done with their NHL teams. Sweden is adding Forsberg and Ekholm, Finland is adding Tolvanen, Swiss adding Josi... Canada is adding no one. Complete joke.

I'm shocked at how many people are surprised or disappointed with getting the 7th pick. You'd think after two draft lotteries in a row, folks would learn to set their expectations at the most likely pick, not where we ended up. I'm leaving this lottery feeling fairly relieved more than anything else.
