@canuckistani so give Jake the Sedin treatment and play him 70% in the o-zone. I say we set him free to be the offensive player we need. Others can help pick up the slack defensively, that happens for a lot of players. 

I just don't see how Jake has earned elite O-zone starts. He is a North-South skater, with speed with a good shot. thats it. He does not deke, he does not weave in the offensive zone to create space. He can be a finisher, provided his defensive skills are good enough to play the off wing - which are getting there but not there yet. Or he can learn how to play his natural side and be effective with the undeniable tools he possesses. 

we could always put goldy on his line to look after the defensive duties.
