    If Sanheim is worth 3.25, signing Hutty to a 1 year deal at his current 2.8 seems more than fair.

      Sanheim is 3 years younger and this season was only his 2nd year in the league (first full 82 games) while putting up 35 points. I don't see how those contracts can be compared in any way for perceived value. Hutton is a 1.5-1.75 million D at this point, IF that. Has potential and room to improve, but basing on his past seasons performance.

      of course you can compare them. You just did. 

       

      I'm just pointing out Hutty should be thrilled to get extended on his current deal. I can't see anyone giving him more.
